Description

1989 Chevy Camaro that has been restored and upgraded better than original. Only 3. 00 miles have been clocked on this Restoration which never saw any winter driving. The last inspection was in April of 2013 and since then It has driven less than 100 miles. I did a full tune up in May 2014 which included plugs. cap. rotor. fuel pressure regulator. fuel filter. and fuel injectors. History: This car was purchased in 2004. Restoration began with full tear down. repaint. motor and transmission upgrade which took the next 4 years to complete. Final outcome was a restored 1989 Camaro with L98 Chevy 350 TPI fuel injection. Fourth Gen T-56 manual 6 –Speed manual transmission. modified suspension with 17 inch aluminum wheels. Infinity G35 Laser Red was used to highlight the body with new front sheet metal. 2 inch cowl hood. and 5 inch rear spoiler. Interior has been updated to 1991 specifications with gauges. new fabric all around. Kenwood radio with dual 12 inch subwoofers in rear cargo area surrounded by carbon fiber enclosure. T-Tops have been painted and received new seals and rest is the original GM rear cargo storage bag on those nice days. The interior seats have barely been sat in after being reupholstered. mainly the drivers seat. I have not had the time to drive the car for the past two years now. between dealing with a sick family members. kitchen remodel. and now work relocation this summer. The car is more than worth it in the amount of parts listed below. A new battery was installed this past October and has been on a trickle charger. It was cleaned in the fall before going hibernating in the garage under the car cover for the winter. Had occasional starts to keep everything lubed. I am at a different point in my life now than several years ago and want to see it go to someone who will enjoy it as well. The motor has plenty of power and the 6 speed really gives you the drop in rpms on the highway. It’s truly a cruiser that glides down the road and has the control and handling of a modern day super car. It’s rides firm and tight like better than off the show room floor. Such as brake pads and rotors. A collection of parts that will also be included. Such as service manual. box of parts and sensors. and anything else in my possession that corresponds to a Third Gen Camaro. The known issues are the following: - Airbag Clocking Spring located inside the Steering column. This connects the airbag to the wire harness under the dash and allows the steering wheel to turn without losing connection. A new computer and sensor were purchased prior to diagnosing the problem with a scan tool. It is a simple fix by removing the steering wheel and then the clock spring. - The dash pad had a crack repaired but is still visible. Dash pad covers are now available for purchase on the internet. Please be aware of the following before bidding. Car is purchased As-Is and as described above. I am not a dealership and will not be providing any warranty. Buyer should be committed to full payment before they place their bid. The buyer is responsible for providing a nonrefundable deposit within 48 hours of the auction closing. Paypal will be accepted if buyer wishes to pay remaining balance in cash upon pickup. Buyer is responsible for pick up. this means they will have to make arrangements to transport the vehicle. My insurance and registration will be removed from the vehicle upon full payment. Also please note. this car has not been advertised as a show car built by Chip Foose or Boyd Codington. It is not worthy of $100. 00 at the Barret Jackson auction or it will be there. It was not just removed from a barn in Arizona after 15 years. It is being advertised as a car worthy of bringing to the car shows. using as a cruiser. or maybe you want it as your daily driver. The car is priced accurately for the type. year. options. and aftermarket parts. It is priced fairly to sell. Sorry for the rant. but TV is damaging the car market now a days. For example the front Corvette disc brake conversion was almost $1. 00. I am not expecting to get back all of my money. just get a fair value. Feel Free to contact me directly with any questions.
