2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

I purchased the car on February 20. 2015 from an individual on Craigslist. He had a 2003 Monte Carlo and bought this one as an extra parts car. When he bought it. he was told it needed a transmission and did not have any issues other than that. The guy I purchased it from never drove it but he did start it and it ran great. It sat at his house for about a month and he sold the other car so had no need for this one. He listed it on Craigslist as needing a transmission. I started it and checked it out before I bought it and it checked out other than the transmission. I had the transmission put in on 3/10/2015 and my mechanic said it was running funny and wanted to check into it. He found that someone had put a very thick oil in it to quiet the rod that was knocking so they were able to sell it. Needless to say. it needs a new motor. The interior is in good condition other than a tear in the driver seat which could easily be fixed. I love the car but I don't have the time to mess with it any longer. I am just looking to get what I paid for it. It has a sunroof and leather interior. and has not been smoked in. Buyer pays shipping or towing costs.
