1963 Corvette Roadster Convertible. I have owned this Corvette for 43 years and the car has not been driven on the road for 40 years! About 20 years ago I had the car painted but it needs to be repainted to be a show stopper. I don't recall every specific about the car at this point because so many things are now so far in the distant past. I bought the car without the original engine or transmission. so for the 43 years it has been in my possession. it has not been numbers matching. The engine in the car now is a 4 bolt 350 block. bored . 060. with a 327 crankshaft. camel hump fuelie heads. a mint 1969 Z28 intake manifold. and a Holley double-pumper. I remember that all of the machine work and short block assembly was done by Hines Racing in Lawrenceburg Indiana. Don't remember whether or not the crank is forged. but I do remember trying to locate a forged crank. The transmission is a period correct Borg Warner T-10. The frame is solid. Car has the original VIN Tag. We were able to start the car even though the gas tank is corroded and gunked up on the inside. I do have a new tank that goes with the car. The brakes do work but the E brake is not connected. Plan on having to winch the car onto a hauler/trailer. The car does have the original fiberglass headlamp buckets and 4 headlight motors go with the car. The seats. gauge pod. & clock are from a 1965 Stingray. I do have the original 1963 seat backs and I believe the 1965 bottom seat covers are resting on the original 1963 bottom seat frames. Original Black steering wheel is near perfect and the original 1963 glove box lid as pictured. There are 2 sets of door glass wing vent assemblies. There is a convertible top bow assembly in the car but the vinyl top is very bad. A new top comes with the car along with new carpeting. I believe the wheels are Western Wheel reproductions and the chrome needs to be refinished or replaced. As pictured. there are lots of spare parts in boxes and there are two rear gear assemblies. one 4. 56 and one 3. 70. along with a OEM disc brake setup from a 1965 Stingray. You'll have to make arrangements to have those parts bins boxed/crated & shipped. And the method of shipping the car is the buyer's responsibility. This car could be extremely nice with a complete restoration or a restomod with newer suspension components and an LS drive train. With a bit of effort. it could be a weekend cruiser if you don't care about the nicks & scratches accumulated from the years of sitting in the garage. It's time for this car to have a new owner to bring it back to its classic beauty and put it back on the road. I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally. FULL PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 3 DAYS!!! NO PAYPAL ON THIS AUCTION PLEASE. I WOULD PREFER A WIRE TRANSFER. BUT I WILL ACCEPT CASH. OR ANOTHER METHOD. BUT THE MEATHOD MUST CLEAR THE BANK AND BE CONVERTED TO CASH BEFORE THE CAR LEAVES MY POSESSION. On Mar-12-15 at 17:47:02 PDT. seller added the following information: The car does have the GM OEM Electronic ignition & tach drive distributor that was available on later C2 Stingrays. Trim Tag - STYLE 63 867. TRIM STD. 8150 Body. 900A Paint. VIN 1st digit = 3. 0867 = convertible. S = St Louis. and the final 7 digits indicates the car was built in the last quarter of the production year. Link to video of the car running on 3/11/2015. http://youtu. be/9bQ_bOj0CAw
