1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Base Coupe 2-Door 5.7L

We bought this car in December. 2013 from a lady who had owned it since it was two years old. for my wife and I to restore and add to her collection because it is the year and make that she wanted. The lady we bought it from had been using it as a daily driver until snow fell. She said that all numbers match except the engine. which was replaced by a rebuilt engine from what we believe to be a '70 or '71 corvette. She was going to restore the car but got a divorce and owns race horses and had to sell it. As we began working on the car. my wife's cancer returned and she returned to chemo therapy and is now in hospice. The car needs to be restored to be enjoyed but there is a lot to work with. We no longer had the time or means to restore it. It has some rust in the usual places on the chasis. which is common on C3 corvettes but the parts to repair it are readily available at Zip's corvette. We have driven the car on a few short drives and do not know it very well. but it needs to have some things fixed before we believe it would be a safe driver. including a windshield. driver's door latch. new battery. and several little things that would not worry an experienced mechanic/restorer but are too much for us now. Some of the A/C parts are included but were not installed when engine was replaced This car even gets compliments as it is now. Please see all of the pictures and email any questions to us.
