Up for auction is a nice 1917 Chevrolet Turing Car. (Savior) This Chevrolet is about as an original as they get. The speedometer reeds 6219 but we can not say it is original miles. The 1917 Chevrolet Model 490 was called the Baby Grand and was named Model Four-Ninety because of its price selling for $490. 00 when new in 1917. This car has a rebuilt engine with only about 20 miles on it from the rebuild. It starts easy with its electric starter and runs good with it's replacement carburetor. but the original carb comes with. The distributor was also rebuilt. and new cap. The original hand crank is also with the car. (just in case) All wood is intact and shows no rot. The car has been in dry storage most all it's life. Everything works as it should even the speedometer. This Turing has the original three speed transmission and a good clutch. There is some light body damage from all its years. but most of the body is in very good condition with no rust at all. (Please look at pictures closely) The interior we think has been redone at one time. but we are not positive. We do know the top had been replaced. but many years ago. Tires are good and the wheels are solid. This car is ready for Parades or just have fun with it. Not many 1917 Chevrolets remain. there are only a hand full left. so could be great for a museum. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. We will help with loading on our end and in anyway we can. I'm listing this little Chevy for a friend and will take all questions to him.
