This is a sad day for me. i love this van and i built it from the ground up and it is exactly everything i ever wanted in a van…. but it needs to be sold as i'm moving and i'm not going to have a heated garage anymore and the van is too nice and has spent it's entire life in a heated garage since 1973 and i refuse to put it outdoors and watch it deteriorate. I am the 3rd owner of this van and it has always been a collector/show piece. never been used as a work van and as I said it has always spent it's life indoors. that being said the van is 100% rust free from top to bottom. inside and out. the van has never been in an accident and the only dings its ever had was on the fender from a shopping cart rolling into it. and the slider had a mild scratch from a kid walking by with a bicycle and carelessly running the handle bars across it. all the damage has been photographed and repaired when i had the restoration done. The van has 134813 ACTUAL MILES on it since 1973 and I did all the restoration 9000 miles ago so what you're getting is a completely restored and babied BETTER THAN NEW 1973 Chevrolet shorty van. I spent $20. 00 on full body paint inside and out with custom murals all the way around under the clear coat so it will last forever. (these murals could be wet sanded out if someone wanted to. but I truly hope whoever buys this keeps it the way I built it and enjoys all the hard work put into this classic van) NEW 350 engine with RV cam package and edelbrock intake and carburetor built by jones automotive in spokane washington. NEW 350 turbo transmission. EW exhaust. NEW wheels and tires. NEW breaks. there is NO RUST at all on this van. I tried to get good pictures of the underside so you can see how nice it is. I put dynomat (sound proof insulation cost $1000. 00 for material) on the floor from the firewall all the way to the rear doors. over all the wheel wells. and strips on the doors and walls so the van is as quiet as it is smooth to drive down the road. I installed a LED lighting system that can change colors. stay solid. flash. fade in and out. and it makes for a real nice look and enjoyable environment. I installed POWER windows and POWER LOCKS with a remote alarm. it has a cd player with hookups for iPod. Phone. tc and stereo sounds great! The van has a sunroof upfront that can be put up. or the glass can be taken out completely if you want. also has a FANTASTIC brand vent in rear with remote control blows or sucks air which makes it nice on hot days. the rear seats can be taken out if you want to haul anything. I used it to play gigs with my band and it was always a huge attention getter!!! I installed a full sized matching crager ss spare that is hidden in the platform that holds the bench up behind drivers seat. having the seat sideways makes it great for entertaining a group of people as everyone can see each other and talk in comfort. I took tons of pictures as this van was being built and the buyer will get all of them so you can see every step of it's creation. ebay only lets people put 12 pictures up on each post so i created a photo bucket account so you can see some of the details in the building process. again there is NO RUST and the frame. rip rails. and all the other normal spots that usually have rust are solid and I challenge anyone to find a more solid 1973 (or any year for that matter) van. this is a true collectors piece and I will help with shipping anywhere in the world (buyer has to make the arraignments and pay for all expenses involved in shipping) $2000. 00 non refundable deposit due within 2 days of auction end. est must be paid for within 10 days of auction end and cleared by my bank BEFORE the van leaves my garage. The van has a REALLY low reserve. nd a VERY reasonable buy it now price so bid with confidence or buy it now. ou won't ever see another van like this. don't let this one get away!!!
