Not a trailer queen you'll be scared to drive. just a slick fiberglass 2-seater with a rumbling V8 and some smart upgrades to amp up the fun factor. The car was repainted a few years ago and uses a few custom tricks to give it that glowing orange finish. There are four coats of base. three coats of pearl. and two coats of clear. all rubbed and buffed to give it a very cool look that flashes and glows in the sun and seems to change color as you move around the car. The fiberglass underneath looks extremely good. as if this car has never seen any rough action. and little details give it a custom look that will stand out. Check out the custom silver stripes on the cowl induction hood. the shaved emblems. and the cool convex taillights that give it a new look. Both the front and rear bumpers fit better than they did from the factory and the black rubber bumpers have been changed to gray to help tie it all together. A luggage rack out back is actually a useful accessory if you ever want to travel in your Corvette and T-tops give it an open-air feeling when you want it and a secure. quiet coupe when you don't. Experts will note that the interior has seen a pretty substantial makeover. starting with a pair of black leather seats from a 1996 Corvette. With the rest of the interior being original tan. the contrast works rather well and since it's all Corvette. I don't think anyone will complain. This 'Vette also includes factory options like A/C and a tilt steering column. and the entertainment system has been upgraded to an AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit in the original slot. The factory gauges are in great shape with big. bold markings and useful accessories like the cup holders and floor mats make it a pleasure to drive. You'll note that the beautiful paint extends into the door jambs. so this was a full disassembly job. and with much of the interior being original. there's no much doubt that this car led an easy life. The 350 cubic inch V8 has been rebuilt and with an upgraded cam inside. it makes an estimated 300 horsepower. Bright chrome tin work atop a Chevy Orange block makes it look like a traditional Corvette should and the engine bay is clean and well-presented overall. It's backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic. which was a good idea in the Corvette and a set of long-tube headers feed a new exhaust system with Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers in back. The rest remains fairly stock and in good condition. and with the Corvette's specifications. you don't really need major modifications to have a great time in this car. A fully independent suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes were all standard equipment. so feel free to go out and have some fun. Factory Rally wheels have painted centers and polished trim rings for a great custom look that still looks like the factory might have done it. and they carry 225/60/15 white-letter radials all around. This is a handsome. affordable. fun Corvette that isn't trying too hard. which is kind of refreshing today.
