A GREAT KEEPER OR INVESTMENTMUST MOVE IT OUT OF THE GARAGE IT'S IN. MY LOSS. YOUR GAIN. A TRUE SURVIVOR. LAST REGISTERED 1976. THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE IS 78. 86. THIS IS MY LABOR OF LOVE. I HAVE OWNED THIS FROM NOV 1987. A RUST FREE CAR. GARAGED ALL OF ITS LIFE. WITH A CLEAR NJ TITLE CURRENTLY. I AM UNABLE TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT DUE TO DOUBLE KNEE OPERATIONS AND CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE BUT WHATEVER WAS DONE ALREADY. WAS DONE 100%. SOME OF THIS PROJECT STARTED OVER 25 YEARS AGO SO SOME THINGS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED AGAIN. THE ORIGINAL 348 HAS BEEN REBUILT 1988 JUST TO FRESHEN IT UP. IT RUNS GREAT. AND HAS 0 MILES ON IT SINCE THE REBUILD. WITH MAYBE 10 RUNNING HOURS ON IT. AN UPDATED GM HEI DISTRIBUTOR WAS INSTALLED AND MAKES IT START AND RUN SMOOTHER THAN THE POINTS DISTRIBUTOR. THE REBUILDER SAID THERE WAS NO WEAR INSIDE THE MOTOR. IT WAS SET TO ALL FACTORY SPECS AND I ADDED A RARE GM ALUMINUM HIGH RISE MANIFOLD. I UPDATED THE POWERGLIDE WITH A “BOLT IN” GM TURBO 350 FOR BETTER DRIVING IN MIND. THE REAREND WAS ALSO FRESHENED UP AND RESEALED. THE ORIGINAL POWER STEERING WAS REBUILT AND LEFT IN PLACE AS WELL AS THE GENERATOR. BUT THE ORIGINAL POWER BRAKES HAD A DISC BRAKE CONVERSION. DONE IN THE FRONT WITH ALL GM PARTS. THE BODY IS SUPER STRAIGHT AND IS READY FOR A FINAL BLOCK AND FINAL COLOR. A SUBTLE HOOD TOUCH OF A GRAN NATIONAL HOOD SCOOP PROFESSIONALLY MOLDED IN COMPLIMENTS THE SAME BODY LINES OR REPLACE WITH STOCK HOOD. ALSO TOP ROOF VENT HAS A 3RD BRAKE LIGHT FABRICATED FOR IT OR JUST LEAVE IT ORIGINAL. BUILDING AND RESTORING OLD CARS HAS BEEN MY TRADE SO THERE IS A LOT OF PRICELESS QUALITY TIME SPENT THROUGH THE YEARS. THE SEATS WERE DONE IN ALL THE ORIGINAL TRI-COLOR MATERIAL AND PROFESSIONALLY REDONE AS WELL AS THE SIDE PANELS . MOST INTERIOR IS ALL PACKED IN MY HOUSE. THERE ARE MANY EXTRA PARTS I HAVE COLLECTED THROUGH THE YEARS THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR. I HAVE A NEW CARPET. HEADLINER AND THERE IS A NEW WINDSHIELD. ALL 6 PIECES OF SIDE GLASS STILL IN THE BOX. BUT NO BACK GLASS. THERE ARE MANY NEW PARTS SUCH AS NEW DASH LENSES AND RELATED PARTS. PERFECTLY FITTED SKIRTS. TC. ITS BEEN A PROJECT THAT WAS BEING BUILT TO SHOW AND DRIVE. THE UNDERNEATH IS PAINTED HONEY BEIGE. THE FLOOR/TRUNK PANS WERE REPLACED NOT BECAUSE OF RUST BUT WANTED CLEAN UNDAMAGED PANS. ALL THE HARD WORK IS DONE. THIS IS IN THE FINAL STAGES OF BEING A SHOW STOPPER AND/OR BEAUTIFUL CRUISER. FINISHED PROPERLY THIS WOULD BE A SHOW STOPPER! THE RESERVE IS VERY REASONABLE.
