AWESOME 1966 CHEVROLET C10 SHORT BED. BIG WINDOW. PICK UP. NICELY LOADED WITH STRONG 327 V8. AIR CONDITIONING. POWER STEERING. POWER FRONT DISC BRAKES. WOOD BED. AND MORE. READY TO SHOW AND GO!!! This sweet little 1966 Chevrolet C-10 Short Bed Pick Up truck was built right here in the Atlanta. GA assembly plant and spent almost its entire life in the Atlanta. GA area. A gentleman from Missouri had purchased it a little over a year ago from some folks in Georgia who had owned it for about 15 years. It had been restored by those folks in 2004 and was gently used since that time and the gentleman from Missouri did some nice upgrades when he got it. Well. he enjoyed the truck quite a bit but had a bucket list of cars he was wanting to own and a Yellow 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 that we had was on his list. We worked out a deal and took his truck in trade recently. These trucks are really starting to gain in popularity and collectibility and are a blast to drive. This truck is in great condition both cosmetically and mechanically and it is loaded with options that make it a truck that you can truly get in and drive or take to the local shows and cruise-ins. I will do my best to provide enough large images. an honest description and a video so you can hear it start up and running. Sit back and enjoy! As you will see in the pics that follow the body on this C-10 looks great and I am pretty certain this truck still has all of its original body panels. It was cosmetically restored in 2004 according to the previous owner. Overall the paint still looks great with some minor chips that have been touched up and flaws that you would expect from a vehicle that has been driven and enjoyed. Doors open and close nicely and body panel gaps are great. This is a great truck for the local shows and cruise-ins but it is not a concourse trailer queen. Body panels are nice and straight and the stainless trim all looks very good with just some minor dings in a few places. The previous owner put on a new set of triple plated front and rear bumpers. front push guards and new chrome headlight bezels. As you will see he also added a new white hinged Tonneau cover for the bed which looks very nice and accents the white along the sides of the body well. The wood bed looks very nice. It appears to have the original C-10 emblems and chrome trim around the cab which have show some signs of age or as most would call a little patina. All of the glass is in great condition and windows roll up and down nicely. This Short Bed C-10 has the larger rear window. Overall this red/white C-10 looks great and is ready to be enjoyed. Here is a walk around photo tour of the body: As you probably know the interiors on these classic trucks are quite simplistic and utilitarian. At the time of restoration the interior was very nicely done in a tan cloth that is very comfortable and durable and will be nice and cool in those sunny summer months. The bench seat looks great with almost no wear showing. Headliner was done to match. Carpeting is in nice condition as well. A very nice red Chevrolet Steering wheel was added which looks like it may have been from a Corvette. All of the factory gauges appear to working correctly and an aftermarket tach and oil pressure gauge were neatly added. The previous owner wanted to enjoy this truck in the summer months and he added a very nice after market under dash Air Conditioning that uses R134a and will keep the cabin nice and cold in those hotter months. The heat also works great if needed. A nice am/fm/cd stereo was neatly added in the dash with speakers in the doors. Have a look inside: In 2004 when this truck was restored a nicely built 327 V8 was installed and according to the previous owner has just 15. 00 miles on the rebuild. The Edelbrock 600cfm 4bbl was just rebuilt and has an electric choke and sits on top of the Victor Jr. intake. The motor has a mild cam and headers breathing out a very nice sounding dual exhaust. Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission was also rebuilt at the same time and shifts strong and smooth. Rear end was rebuilt at the same time and is a 10 bolt posi with 3. 73 gears. This truck cruises out nicely on the highway. Recent fuel pump. fuel filter. HEI distributor and cap. new wires. plugs etc. and recently tuned up and new oil change. Power steering makes handling a breeze and the previous owner added a new 9" power brake booster helping the front disc brakes stop this truck nicely with no pulling or issues. The engine bay is nicely detailed with a nice set of polished Chevrolet valve covers and Chevrolet Air cleaner. Since this was a Georgia truck its whole life pretty much the undercarriage and floorpans are nice and slid with no rust issues. It appears to have been lightly sprayed at the time of restoration and with one day of elbow grease could be cleaned up even nicer if desired. Original spare tire holder with a spare wheel/tire still in place. This C-10 sits on a great looking set of original Ralley Wheels with a newer set of chrome trim rings. White letter radials still have tons of tread life left. The lucky next owner should be able to get in this truck and drive and enjoy it the day it arrives. It is ready to hit the streets!!!
