450 HP Street Strip 97 C5 Corvette in Excellent Condition ## No Reserve ##

This car is offered with no reserve. so someone is going to buy it. It might as well be you. 450 HP Street Strip C5! Want C6 & C7 performance at a C5 price? You don't have to settle for a slow C5. This corvette is fast. 100% streetable and extremely reliable. It sounds wicked and runs like it sounds. I've never had it at the strip. but it should run 0-60 in the low 4's and the 1/4 mile in the low twelves. I've owned the car for 11 years and drive it regularly. except in the winter or in bad weather. Why own a cool car and not drive it? It is always garaged unless I'm driving it. I'm selling it because I just bought an XKR Jag (500+ HP upgradable to 600+) and the wife says she's not parking outside (thought about replacing the wife. but selling the car is cheaper). The car looks great and turns heads whenever I drive it. It has just about all the options available. always maintained. never smoked in. Z06 intake manifold. 80mm throttle body. high flow air intake with K&N filter. performance fuel pressure regulator. and MAP sensor. 2) 3. 42 rear end ratio differential gone through at 113k 3) Transmission built & modified with OEM high stall converter at 85k 4) High volume oil pump. new chain and gears and lifters. Clean top end. Comp Cams 275/277 222/224 . 566/. 568 112 CL at 92k The cam was replaced to improve low end torque without sacrificing top end HP. 5) Tires are one size larger to improve handling and traction. 255/45-17 on the front with 5/32 tread depth and 285/40-18 on the rear with 8/32 tread depth. 6) Sway bars are 2004 Z06 which improved handling. KNOWN DEFECTS 1) Crack on upper left headlight door. 2) Couple of rock chips in windshield. 3) Minor rock chips in front grill area. 4) Control arm bushings are dry and creak when backing out of garage and turning to go forward. 5) Steering wheel position sensor is bad. It turns off magna steer. otherwise no noticable change in handling. 6) CD player in car doesn't fully eject some CDs until it cools down (I use the 12 CD changer instead). 7) Seat tracks have 1/2 front to rear play (common corvette problem). Repair kit included. 8) Crazing on glass top. 9) Center vent is missing control knob to direct air sideways. I use a thin pen to move vanes.
