1968 CHEVELLE FACTORY 4 SPEED 327 4 BARREL 275 HP CALIF. SURVIVOR

Welcome to my auction. I am listing this rare Chevelle for a family member. This is not a fire sale. With that being said. here are the facts:1968 Chevy Chevelle California Black Plate Survivor. Factory 4 Speed Car with the optional 327 4 barrel 275 HP motor (Camelback heads). Numbers match. 12 bolt non-posi. and the 4 piston power disc brake option package and power steering. No air conditioning. The original color of the car is fathom blue with a black bench seat interior. We added the bucket seats that were recently reupholstered. The door panels are new as well as the dash cap. It retains the original headliner with no rips. but it is wrinkled and should probably be replaced. It still has the factory 4 speed shifter and I am assuming the original transmission. although I have not checked the numbers on that. The car currently has a completely rebuilt stock 350 engine installed with headers. Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock carburetor. It runs excellent. has plenty of power. and is a very fun car to drive. It also comes with the original 327 long block. which is standard bore. . As you can see. it needs paint and some other attention. It needs floor work from water getting in--the car sat for a long time before it was re-done. We are including a brand new set of patch panels for the floors--we were just going to do the wells. The seat area is fine and solid. This is a reliable. nbsp;daily driver with the brake system completely gone through. newer KYB shocks. rear sway bar. and good tires. It has 15 x 8 Corvette rallys on the rear with 295 50 15 tires. And 235 60 15 tires on the front with 15 x 7 rallys. It also has a reproduction super sport hood in good condition. The trunk as seen in the pictures is in nice condition. The car comes with new door and truck weather stripping as seen in the boxes in the trunk. Let me mention areas that need attention:(1) As mentioned. the patch panels on the floor (2) Rust hole on lower right fender. as seen in picture(3) Some rust bubbling on the right rear quarter panel next to the tire. as seen in picture(4) Throw out bearing on transmission is a little noisy. but transmission shifts fine and does not seem to have been a problem(5) Original shifter is a little sloppy and may need adjusting--every once in a while it gets locked up in first and you have to reach under and click it out of gear from under the car. We were going to install a Hurst shifter. The factory shifters have always been problematic. 327 Engine Code is EA and the VIN number matches car12 bolt rear 307 gear ratio. code CX.
