Tilt Wheel SELLER REMARKS Looking for a way to stand out from the increasingly crowded Bel Air and Nomad crowd? Well. take a look at this 1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery (Chevy-speak for panel delivery). This high end build is covered in a true 1950's paint scheme and fully-loaded with potent V8 power. and is sure to turn heads when you arrive at your local car show. It doesn't take much to make these cars look sleek; the all-new design in 1955 dropped the two rear doors and transformed it completely. Wearing a flashy green 50's-esque paint and accented by a white roof and panel sides. the sedan sparkles under our showroom lights. Up front. these weren't terribly heavy on the chrome like their passenger car siblings. and as a result it has a sleek almost custom look that works well with the lowered ride height and flashy wheels. To make room for the 350 under the hood. someone opted to install a moderate hood scoop that adds to the overall look of the vehicle. The distinctive '55 Chevy grille and shiny chrome bumpers make the panel delivery a more upscale choice than a basic pickup or van. and the massive tailgate opens vertically to make loading easy. even in tight quarters. Inside. the extremely well-dressed interior stays true to the panel delivery's basic design. but the silver upgrades take it to the next level. In front of the comfortable cloth bench seat is a Chevrolet branded three-spoke steering wheel. The dash is in amazing shape and features the famous tri-five instrument panel with an upgraded RPM gauge that flows seamlessly into the instrument panel. The dash features a sharp looking mahogany colored wood veneer that really gives it an upscale feel. In front of the passenger. you'll find a clean Chevrolet emblem and a working analog clock. To make it totally usable today. there's a very cleanly installed Vintage Air A/C system under the dash. and the shifter now controls a Muncie M20 4-speed Manual transmission. On the dash you'll find an upgraded AM/FM radio in the center of the dash and in the back. the cargo bay is immense and protected by a clean black carpet. Someone had a very clear vision for this car and replaced the original engine with a built 350ci V8 that looks incredible when you raise the hood. The engine bay is very nicely done with a combination of aftermarket parts to create a show look without compromising reliability. The 4-bolt main block has been bored . 030-over and features a billet aluminum drive system. Up top you'll find a chrome Demon air filter resting on a tri-power setup of Demon carburetors. In front of the block. an aluminum radiator is responsible for cooling the powerful small block. Bolted to the 350. is a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission that sends power to a 10-bolt rear-end with 3. 06 highway friendly gears. You'll also note that the undercarriage was detailed during the restoration and was also equipped with drop spindles and 4-wheel power disc brakes. In front of those brakes. you'll find 17" Boyd Coddington rims that have been wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber. This is a great-looking work vehicle that has a unique take on power delivery. and the quality of the work. as nice as we have seen in our showroom. doesn't erase its ability to get the job done.
