I purchased this car in 2003 and the above list represents the list of normal mechanical wear and tear items that were rebuilt or replaced on the vehicle since then. Car has been driven approximately 1,500 miles a year since then. In its current condition, would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It has always been very reliable on the road and in town.
Everything on this car works with the exception of the following:
--Speedometer/Odometer: I have two extra clusters to rebuild the original with that came with vehicle. These two clusters come with the vehicle --Clock --AC Blows Ice Cold but has a slow leak in the system somewhere. Takes about 3 weeks to need a 1 can recharge during the summer months. AC system has been converted to 134a
What needs upcoming attention:
--There is a small amount of rust beginning on the lower rear passenger side trunk panel and is the only rust present in the car. --The car has the original Arabian White paint from 1966. It is thin in some spots and and worn off along some of the creases of the car. It's always been a toss up to me as to whether to paint it or not. It is original. And I hate to take that away from it. And it still shines up beautifully. --There are a few door dings and a couple of very small dings in the chrome bumper in the rear. Please look carefully at the pictures. I tried to represent these areas as clearly as possible.
This car starts, uns and drives nicely. It gets many thumbs up on the road and has started may conversations at the gas pump, ar shows and events I have taken it too.
