Mechanic Special..........Up for auction is a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser I have owned since 133,000 miles. Currently 199,000. Everything works. Air, ights, ipers, eat, ower windows/doors sunroof and cd radio. It was my daily driver. Stillruns and drives. The engine light came on and started running rough at an idle. Increased rpms it will smooth out but does seemed underpowered. The shop ran a test and said a possible cracked head or blown head gasket. Possible? I don't know for sureand didn't want to spend the money again for a head gasket. I found another vehicle at this time and want to sell the PT.

I did replace the head gasket shortly after I bought it around 133,000. The car currently doesn't overheat and I am not getting coolant in the crank case. On a couple occasions I did get excessive blueish /white smoke on some start ups and itwould clear up. This wasprior to the engine light coming on. Leaving the oil level down afterwards. There is 2 rounded off lug nuts on the front left and 2 newones included. Rust under the lip on the back tailgate. Dent on the top of the front right fender. Couple of impressions on the hood as if some had sat on it. A few dings along the passengers side from grocery carts? Couple of scratches along the sides. The walts link or Z bar is shot in the rear.
