This was my wife’s daily which we recently replaced with a larger vehicle. I maintained the car myself with synthetic oil changes (Mobil 1 0W 30) using Mann German filters and last changed about 1 month ago. I have kept a detailed record of all the maintenance on the car which will be included with the sale. The car has many new parts replacement parts including a fuel pump, njectors, adiator, nd most recently had the rear coolant crossover pipe replaced. Rear brakes were recently replaced at 140K, ronts were done at 100K along with a fluid flush. Timing belt service performed at 80K in 2010. No Check Engine Lights, ast state inspection was performed in August. Tires have one summer of use on them and look about 80%.
There is a noticeable oil leak. I believe its seeping from the valve cover gaskets as it’s a known problem in these cars. The gaskets were last replaced at 80K with the timing belt service. The valve cover gaskets are relatively easy to change. It has been probably leaking for a long time, ut it has been slight enough where it was not an issue for me. Recently there has been more oil collecting in the lower engine cover and there is a smell of burning oil from the engine bay from the oil burning off on the block.
The ABS/ESP light has been coming on more randomly recently. Usually this is a bad wheel sensor or ABS module.
The battery light comes on when starting the car then goes off when rpms get above idle. Alternator was putting out 14 volts last time I tested it. I recently replaced the battery and the light did not come on for around a month, ut now it is coming on again. Alternator is probably due for replacement.
The car has had no major accidents, ust small cosmetic damage. The title has no leins. This car was pristine when we got it 6 years ago, ut it was parked in a ramp downtown daily where it received some cosmetic damage. The front was hit lightly which damaged the passenger side front bumper and lower grill/fog light. It also put a slight crease in the front fender. The rear passenger side door blade has a gouge down the side. The rear bumper has a small scuff on it. Both front fenders have rust on them. The original wheels have significant curb scuffing on the outside edges. They were repainted gunmetal grey to conceal the cosmetic damage.
The interior is in good shape. It comes Audi fitted with rubber floor mats. There is some wear on the drivers seat but overall the leather is in good shape. It should be noted that the clip for the drivers side visor is broken, he latch that locks the center arm rest is broke, ne of the glove box door hinges is broke. The glove box can still be used and stays closed with only one hinge. This car has never been smoked in. The A/C blows cold, eated seats work, nd everything else works.
This car has a 2 way remote start that works very well and comes with both original switchblade remotes.
Overall is it’s a good car with a good maintenance history, ust needs some work to make it nicer.
KBB private party value in good condition is $4,450. More pics are located here http://s254.photobucket.com/user/audiurs41994/library/2005%20A4?page=1
