Inspected to March, 017!
I have had this minivan since 2009. A lot of work has been done on it over the years.
Generally it was well maintained with regular oil changes.
The best feature of this car is that the Motor and transmission are in excellent shape.
The transmission was replaced 5 years ago but only has around 27,000 miles on the
rebuilt transmission. It was rebuilt at a very reputable shop (Meenan's transmission
in Willow Grove). It works just as when it was rebuilt and the motor is very strong
also. This car can be driven anywhere. We have enjoyed trips to Florida, iagara
Falls, irginia and Toronto.
There are a couple of minor dents on the wheel wells and the paint
was touched up in a few places. Also, t could use new rocker panels
which have eroded. I have taken care of rust by spraying the underside with
rust preventives. Passenger side has a steel panel to strengthen the rocker panel.
Did i say thee car is inspected until 3/2017?
The check engine came on recently and i looked up the code. It looks like it has to
do with possibly the gas cap or it could be some other minor thing because the
car runs perfect.
Some good and bad things:
1) The A/C works great. It was replaced some time ago and has worked great since.
2) Power seats work great.
3) The side doors are power. One works ok, ut the other is acting up (motor is fine)
It closes all the way to the end and then re-opens. Never tried to fix it.
4) There is an overhead LCD TV with wiring to attach a DVD player. It was used
only a couple of times in the beginning. Has a few wireless headphones.
5) The stereo was replaced with a Radio/Mp3 player combo with Aux input
and works great.
6) The car does not burn oil as far as i know. If it does, t would be normal for this year van.
7) Seats are clean and carpets are clean also. No pets ever in the car since i had it. The carpet in the
cargo area has a few stains.
8) Tires in front are good, nes in back will need new ones soon.
9) All power windows work good, ever had a problem with them.
10) Seats remove easily to haul cargo.
11) The headliner was loose in some places but has been tightened with headliner
clips.
Here is an honest list of the things that were done on this car since i have had it
(cut and pasted from Excel) together with my notes at the time:
Most used cars you buy, ou are never sure what shape the Transmission will be.
Even the Honda Odyssey's have Transmission problems. This van is at least
excellent in terms of both motor and trans. The only thing that needs attention
in the long run is the rocker panel. It can be driven reliably from day one.
