Even rarer is the GT, eaturing the High Output engine. Reportedly only 2% of all PT Turbo Convertibles were High Output models.

A California car from new, purchased this 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT in 2011 for $12,000. After taxes, ees, nd interest, ended up paying $14,000. The loan is now paid off and I have a clear California Certificate of Title in hand.

The heart of the beast, he 2.4-liter inline-four turbo, roduces 215 hp (160 kW) @ 5000 rpm and 245 lb.ft. at 3600 rpm. That's serious power, n par with a Porsche Boxter, nd more than enough to give some "real" sports cars a run for the money. The engine is healthy like the proverbial ox, uns great, ith no fluid leaks to report, nd is mated to Chrysler's "Autostick" transmission which also works flawlessly.

Ordered in what is arguably the best color available, ll of the Deep Water Blue Pearl paint is still factory original. The paint is in stunning condition, ith no dings, ents, r scratches of any kind. The car features a body-colored front fascia with larger, ower openings, body-colored rear fascia with larger exhaust opening, specially tuned suspension that drops the ride height by 1 inch, nd chromed 17" alloys with larger 205/50 R17 tires which are all brand new.

Just like the NEW MINI and the Fiat 500, he PT Cruiser Convertible has painted dash inserts, premium sound system, ower everything, ir conditioning (not ice cold), nd cruise control. You want it, t has it!

I bought the car with 49,000 miles on the clock, ow it has has 72,000. All oil changes were done on time as scheduled, nd exclusively with Mobil 1 synthetic oil.

Seats are power-operated and dressed in two-toned genuine leather. There's just some light scruffing on the outer bolster of the driver's seat, ut no damage per se.

Rear seats have not been used while I owned the car. They fold forward individually and allow larger items to be stored in the trunk. Note that there's one rip in the left bottom pillow.

Rarely seen: the factory tonneau cover. It's in primo condition. Convertible top is still the original one and hasn't been used at all during my ownership. This is Southern California, fter all, nd we don't even remember what rain is like!

Another expensive extra is the stainless steel Megan racing exhaust, eaturing a titanium burn blue muffler.

The undercarriage is of reference quality throughout. It's so clean that you can eat off it and I doubt very much that you'll find a cleaner one on a car that's over a decade old now.

I've bought a new car and thus my old PT is up for adoption. Today I've had the car smogged and I received a new Smog Certificate. California registration has been paid (waiting for new sticker to arrive in the mail) and the car can be driven home if so desired, ven if "home" is across the country.
