Description

2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser First-Year All-Option Silver Limited Edition 78K miles

This is an all-option,first year of production,PT Cruiser with just over 78,000 miles. I'm only selling it because I'm moving to New York and won't need a car in the city.I'm the second owner. It was originally bought by a wealthy couple as a grocery getter for their second home in Arizona, and consequently sat in a garage most of its life. They had it transported to Seattle and gave it to me as a gift.
If you like PT Cruisers, this is kind of an amazing example. I'm pretty sure it has every option that was available that model year, including ABS four-wheel disc brakes, leather interior, power sunroof, stereo, and air conditioning. The engine is strong and smooth. The transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. The brakes are exceptionally sure-footed and stop the car quickly. For me, the best parts about the design are the huge liftgate and strong heater. It's got a better heater than my husband's Audi.
I haven't driven it much, so it has very low miles for its year, and I've kept it clean, so it's inexcellent condition, very clean inside and out. The engine and transmission have no leaks. We also had a lot of maintenance work done so the next owner won't have to worry about it, including a new timing belt, new water pump, and new engine seals (the cost was over $1,600, in July 2016, see the details in the receipt in the photos). I've also had the transmission rebuilt, replaced the dashboard wiring harness, refreshed the brakes, installed new liftgate supports, and replaced the windshield. I think the only thing it will need anytime soon are new tires.

Update
About the air conditioning: turns on quickly and blows cold air. It had to be recharged when the timing belt was replaced, this month (July 2016).
