Description

For Auction isa rare 1968 Chrysler Newyorker. Optioned like a muscle car; this car was equipped with the high performance 375 h.p. 440 TNT and automatic transmission. Car has facory disc brakes on front. The car was factory Gold with a red pin stripe, black vinyl top, and black interior. The interior was well optioned with factory bucket seats with console, performance vacuum guage, power windows, am/fm stereo with amplifier, power drivers seat, air conditioning, rear defroster, tilt and telescopic column, and clock. Car has several other options as well.
The interior is decent condition and would be driver quality with not much work. The interior is partially disassembled but is all included. The dash needs put back together and the door panels need finished installing. The rear seat at the top has a small split. The console is there but not perfect. There is a small crack at the back. Console plates are nice with no pitting but need the wood grain redone. Overall the interior for the age is pretty decent and would be good enough for a fun cruiser.
The body of the car is really decent, the trunk was changed for a nicer one due to a paint reaction on the metal. The right door is dented but I will include a good right door that I will swap out with the junk door on it. The body shows no signs of rust. The car has been a dry climate car all its life and has been off the road for several years sitting under a car cover. The left 1/4 panel has a little bondo peeling out from what looks like a minor accident earlier in the cars life. Overall the body is pretty decent and wouldn't take much to be ready for restoration.
The original 440 engine is currently removed but if needed.. for shipping purposes I will set it in the engine bay with a few bolts for easy transportation. Transmission is still in the car as well as driveshaft. The motor ran fine but I would recommend rings and bearings. Transmission worked fine. The exhaust manifolds are in the trunk as well as the radiator, fan, and shroud.
Car is missing the exhaust system, air cleaner, carburetor, and 1 power window switch.
Previous owner cleaned out fuel tank and installed new sending unit. New shocks, new brakes, and swapped out the left studs in favor of right hand threaded studs.Car has a clean title.
Car is located in Northern Wyoming.
