Relisted for sale again- this is the 3rd time due to auction winners who aren't serious buyers and didn't pay for the car- almost comical to read- see below:
Auction 1:. The winning bidder 4 weeks ago claimed to be a 15 year old kid using his mother's account without permission. Never paid.
Auction 2: The winning bidder 2 weeks ago was a gentleman from Denmark who assured me he knew what to do, hat he had been to the United States over 100 times and would pay for the car in person, nd that he had imported several Jaguars back to his country in the past. He never paid either.

This is a beautiful and fun-to-drive car that needs some repairs to be great again. Do a little work, ave a lot of $$. This was an $85,000 car when new, ow needing just a little love to be

1998 Jaguar XK8 convertible with 99,177 original miles. Very nice body and paint, ood top, reat wheels and tires and overall good interior. Drives well with great power, ransmission shifts well, rakes, nd steering all seem fine. However, he engine idles rough and the mechanic noted lower compression in 3 cylinders- he suspects head gaskets need replacing. Great low mileage car to fix and enjoy. Clean California title, urrent registration.

Body looks good and paint has a nice shine- one very minor dent on the right door at the molding- did not even break the paint- very hard to see- looks more like someone leaned on the car. Some misc dings here and there. The top is good and goes up/down fine-needs a good cleaning. All electrics work- wipers, ights, ll 4 windows, ower mirrors, ilt/telescope steering column, nd power seats. The engine starts right up and runs, ut due to engine condition (not wanting to run it too long) cruise control and AC were not tested recently. Wheels are all very good with no real curb damage and hardly a mark on them- tires are all 75% tread or better. It has wheel dust discs installed to keep the wheels clean. All emblems are in place- nothing missing. The interior is generally ok and could use a really good cleaning and minor repairs. Good dash, ood, arpets, ear seat, ront passenger seat. Driver seat needs some bolster repair, nd there is a small split in the top on one door panel. Nice headliner- no rips. The car comes with a matching top boot (the cover that goes over the top when it is down), s seen one of the pictures. Steering and brakes all feel solid- ABS warning light comes on and off occasionally, ut the brakes are fine. The car comes with the correct (Jaguar) key and a working remote The sound system is excellent and has a working 6 disc Jaguar (Alpine) CD changer in the trunk.
Some major work done in past- new power steering pump and high pressure hose (97,540 miles), ew starter (86,600 miles), new radiator, adiator hoses, ater pump, hermostat, C idler, nd belt tensioner (55,660 miles). Car has a newer Interstate battery as well- was over $180.

The car has a clean California title and current registration (through March 2106). It passed its last California emissions test on 3-25-13, nd should pass again once the engine repairs are done. The buyer accepts the car “As-Is, here-Is”. The buyer is responsible for all costs, epair or inspection, equired for registration in his home state, ncluding buyers in California.

This is a good project that will make a fun car when done. All buyers should plan to have the car towed or shipped to their location. Trying to drive it any distance could damage the engine further. At the moment there is no coolant in the oil and no oil in the coolant.

The car must be picked up no later than 10 days after auction end unless arrangements are made ahead of time with the seller.
