Description

Can’t believe I am doing this, ut I am putting my beautiful 2004 Torch Red SVT Cobra up for sale. I have resisted for a while, ut I do not think I can hold off on the C6 Z06 itch any longer. That is the ONLY reason for sale. No trades unless it is (plus cash on my end) for a c6 z06. I have a clean and clear MA title in hand and in my name. I know it is fall, ut I also do not have any problem letting the car sit in the garage covered on the battery tender until spring if no one wants it now. Anyways, et’s get to the good stuff:
The original owner bought the car new in Texas, nd did all of the modifications to it (2.8 upper, assani X, ender intake, dlers, ri-ax shifter, AC catback). The car was sold to the second owner in late 2004 with only 4,000 miles, here it was shipped to California. Second owner owned the car from 2004 until March 2012. I bought this car from the second owner in Fresno CA in March of 2012. It had 34,500 miles on it and was a bolt-on car. The second owner of the car did nothing to the car other than regular maintenance and change the wheels from the stock ones to bullitts (yuck). The car was in excellent shape and I have done the same in keeping it absolutely mint. I tinted the windows, ut Saleens on and changed the exhaust, ut the car was relatively unchanged from the time I bought it until May 2013 at 40,100 miles when I began the turbo build. The turbo build took all summer, nd I barely put 1000 miles on the car during the 2013 season. Below is a fairly thorough list of aftermarket parts. The build is in the Turbo section as well for anyone interested.

I do detailing/paint correction on the side, o the paint on the car is nearly flawless. I can guarantee the car has glassier paint than when it rolled off the showroom floor. The car is only washed using the two bucket method with grit guards, oam cannon, nd the highest quality microfibers. Dried using a leaf blower and/or California water blade. The car is a Torch Red Mirror. I will let the pictures do the talking though. Most pictures were taken Sunday 11/15. Others around July. Car has not changed since I finished redoing the fuel system and turbo upgrade in May.
The car spends every night in my climate controlled garage, nd is garaged from November until April under a cover with the battery tender on it. Never taken out in the rain as the car is on drag radials, nd we all know that is a bad idea. Obviously NO rust, ot or anything like that. Car is immaculate topside and underside.
The car has been tuned by arguably the best modular Ford tuner on the east coast, ete at Performance Dyno in Loudon NH. It has two tunes loaded on the included X-Cal 3. One for E-85 and one for 93 octane. The car makes 805rwhp on E-85 at 21PSI and 656rwhp on 93 at only 15lbs. Both tunes are extremely conservative. It takes 5 minutes to swap from E-85 to 93, nd I have done it numerous times. The electronic boost controller allows you to adjust boost with the push of a button depending on what fuel you are running and how much power you want to make. I have never run more than 21PSI. The fuel system, urbo and clutch are easily capable of 1000+hp, nd all you would have to do is push a few buttons on the boost controller. But 800+ was plenty for me, s well as the Toyo R888s out back. I also did a compression test last week when I was installing new coils and plugs, nd all 8 cylinders were 175-185 PSI.
The car starts, dles, ruises and stops like stock. If I didn’t open the hood and told you that the car was stock with a borla catback, ou would believe me. Once you open the cutout and get on it though, t’s a whole different story.
I switched over to 93 octane this summer and 5 minutes later began the 900 mile trip to Myrtle Beach, C for Mustang week. I had the radio and AC blasting the whole way and the car did not once hiccup, nd even managed 22 mpg. Ran perfect the whole week in the extreme 100+ degree heat, nd drove back. Switched back to e-85, nd have been driving it since. Even got caught in the rain once on the way down
The interior is immaculate as well. Back seats have never been sat in as long as I owned the car, do not smoke, nd the car has never been smoked it. Smells and looks like new. The Recaros have less than 5000 miles on them and were new in January 2014.
This car will not disappoint. It has the looks with the power to back it up. Transmission shifts smooth through all the gears, nd makes no weird noises. Same with the IRS. I had someone ask me last week if the car was a 2015 (obviously not a mustang person, ut to attest to how clean the car is). The turbo setup is INSANE. Pulls like a freight train in any gear that you can get traction. Ask anyone local who has seen the car, nd they can attest to its cleanliness. I have turned every single nut and bolt on this car, nd have more blood, weat and beers drank while working on this car than I would care to admit, ut the results speak for themselves. I can answer any question that a buyer may have, s I know every inch of this car. All creature comforts work perfectly (AC, eat, efrost, adio, eadlights, ower windows, oor locks, eyless entry alarm etc). I drive this car to work once or so a week in the summer, nd it could easily be a daily driver. I just chose not to. Passed MA inspection with ease (obviously have someone overlooking the tint, ut besides that it could pass inspection just about anywhere).
