1961 Ford Falcon with California Desert Patina

Nice Project for a resto-mod or full blown restoration. or Race car project. Nice rust free and unmolested Falcon, Door coupe that has spent its life in the California dry desert environment.. It was originally blue (see trunk picture) and has been painted blue years ago. It has a cool, at rod faded blue patina that could be left as is or clear coated to preserve it. I bought this car to convert to a V8 but I just have too many projects. I was not planning to paint it since the patina is so cool. I hate to sell it because the body is in such good shape. The floors and trunk look very solid. Still has the original carpet and seats
This car spent its entire life (as far as I know) it the California desert in the Bakersfield/ Lancaster area. It has typical desert surface rust but no sign of rust that would require a panel replacement. The original six cylinder 170 cu in motor does NOT run and is missing the carburetor. Also has original 2 speed auto trans.
The drivers side door leading edge is bent but could be fixed. Not sure a new door would be required.
Small block Fords motors such as 260, 89 302 331 347's will bolt right in with factory 63 V8 motors mounts. In addition, 51 Windsor or Windsor stroker motors will fit as well with minor work.. There are many companies making aftermarket suspension kits for these cars to make them handle and stop including Mustang II type front suspensions.

I can potentially deliver within 100 to 150 miles of Garden Grove, A for a reasonable Fee. It is sitting on the trailer waiting to be delivered. Since it does not run shipping can be an issue. But there are shippers that will take no running vehicles. I can assist delivering it to a local shipper.
