Beautiful factory Police Package AHB/ELE Dodge Diplomat. I have paid alot of money and spent many hours making this the perfect sleeper Police Package Diplomat, ith no expense spared and not cutting corners. I built this car with keeping it forever in mind. I have barely put 3000 miles on it, nd it's only been about 2 years, ut I have to address some other financial priorities. Truth is, his car runs perfect, s very fast, light lope in idle, nd the HD 727 with Mopar Performance Deep finned Aluminum Pan shifts firm and perfect, rives tight and straight, rakes are great and with the factory Police 2.94 gears, t will cruise at 80 mph without revving high in annoying fashion (I never installed a Tachometer because I don't race it or beat on it). The Police Transmission and Power Steering are in place and leak free, nd a B&M Super Cooler with large Braided lines has been added for the engine oil cooling. The Filter was relocated to front of car just rear of bumper, here it is out of the heat of the Headers, nd makes it so easy to do oil change, nd run a longer filter. This setup is leak free as well. It still has the factory HD Cooling Police Radiator in good shape still, nd the car runs cool and doesn't even come close to getting too hot. The only thing this car needs is a Sure Grip, ecause even with rolling starts it does not hook up. I will include a brand new sealed in the box Mopar Perfomance Sure Grip unit with this auction (as will a ton of spare parts I have collected over the years).
The engine was built right by a very experienced and reputable builder. I can provide lots of documentation on the build to any seriously interested buyers. Started with a 360 Race Prepped Core Block. It has ARP fasteners throughout, ndy/RHP Cylinder Heads, B Hypoeutectic Pistons,Crane Hydraulic Roller Cam, CAT Crank and Rods, ive Angle Valve Job, oly Rings, indage Tray, ith the rotating assembly internally balanced for a nice smooth, ibration free engine. I paid $700 extra for the Dyno/Tune option, o the Quickfuel Black Diamond Carb would be all set to go, nd the Dyno numbers showed over 460 horsepower, nd over 500 pound/feet torque! I can only imagine what this car would do with some 3.55 gears! As mentioned above, can provide all documentation on the build that has even more specifics. I have over 10 grand in the engine alone.The exhaust consists of TTI Headers, nd mandrel bent 2.5" Dual Exhaust, ith Walker Quiet Flow Mufflers, nd factory appearing turndowns out the back. The rear Anti Sway bar is intact, ith new Urethane Bushings on the end links.
The front end received a COMPLETE rebuild with super high quality parts just before engine went in. ALL the bushings are Urethane, rom Firmfeel. Also, Fast Ratio Pitman and Idler arm from FF. The Tie Rods are Moog, nd the larger 11/16th, ith Moog Balljoints, nd FF Aluminum K Frame Isolators (expensive stuff). along with NOS Mopar Police Shocks. It tracks perfectly straight and tires wear evenly. The tires are newer Mastercraft Avenger GT's, 35/70/15. The rims are stock Mopar Police slotted and I sanded and painted before installing the tires. No shuddering or shaking at high speeds. The Brakes are in VG condition, aving been completely rebuilt recently, ith all new parts.
The interior is in very good condition. It has the HD Vinyl Police flooring that is in good shape. I just had the two front seats recovered in HD Vinyl, hich cost me $750.00. Rear HD Vinyl is in good shape. Headliner in good shape having been reupholstered recently. All the gauges are NOS, xcept the Police 125 mph Certified Speedometer, hich shined up nice and has no needle fading and works perfectly. The am/fm Stereo is NOS and works well. I never tried a Cassette. Still equipped with the wig-wag headlight flashers, ith dash switch, hat flashes all four headlights when headlight switch is off, nd highbeams only when headlight switch is on.
This car has never had any rust or body damage. It has a shiny but cheapo Maaco paint job that I had done just to get rid of the Sheriff's Green and Gold stripes that were still on the car, long with thinning faded paint. I wanted to get some paint on it too to protect the car. It's still factory Bright White. I don't ever have it in bad weather or parked in the Sun, o it looks good. The grille is in VG condition. No peeling of the fake chrome, nd I carefully taped off everything to repaint the black areas. The chrome bumpers and mirrors are in VG condition as well. I have chrome wheel well trim and rocker moldings that will go with the car. They are in decent condition with some minor scratching and a ding or two, ut look good.
This is truly a car I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere. There is no reserve, nd the starting bid is not even close to what I have in this car. I see now how crappy my pics are. The pic with lightbar was for use in a film, nd lightbar is not included, nd was just resting on the roof.
