In 2010, he Generation II 997 GT3 RS was launched and received an additional 35bhp over the previous 3.6-litre GT3 RS due to the introduction of a new Mezger-designed 3.8-liter Motorsport engine, ringing total power output up to 450bhp. Based on the body-shell of the Carrera 4, he 3.8 GT3 RS featured 44mm wider rear arches and 26mm wider front arches and weighed in at just 1370 kgs.
