1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-454 85,673 Original Miles! This is a True SS Car, OT a clone or tribute.
Originally this is an SS-396 car, he 454 and SS-454 emblems have been added on.
Included is the original warranty booklet with the Protect-O-Plate. These show the was originally sold in Lowell Mass on 5-6-1970 and the Protect-O-Plate is still attached to the warranty booklet! The Protect-O-Plate verifies that this car is a true SS andNOT a clone or "tribute". This also identifies that this was originally an SS-396 Car with engine code CTW which means it was originally equipped with 402-4 350 Horsepower L34 with TH-400 Transmission. The 454 engine and emblems are not original.
Engine: 454 engine with 6-71 Supercharger. Engine has head studs, igh capacity oil pan, ull length headers, ew 3 inch exhaust including stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers, allory distributor, ccel Super Coil, ual Holly Carbs, oroso Valve Covers, n top of the blower is aNOS Fogger Nitrous Oxide System that I have not used. The car is very fast without needing to use the NOS, ut its there if you are brave enough to hit the button!
Transmission: TH-400 Transmission with manual/automatic valve body and 3000 RPM Stall Converter. The shifter is a B&M Mega Shifter.
Additionaldrive-trainmodifications: This car is tubbed and caged with a ladder bar/coil over rear suspension. It has a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear end with 4:10 gears, imited slip type posi, oser Axles and 4 wheel disc brakes. The car also has "line lock" and wheelie bars!
Other cool stuff: The hood is a custom fiberglass cowl hood modified to clear the blower. Interior is complete and original except for the seat /cage modifications (original door panels, arpet, tc). The original steering wheel does have a couple cracks (see pics). Front seats are racing seats with 5 point harnesses. Thevinyltop isbelievedto be original! The factory tachometer is functional. The boost gauge and oil pressure gauge are AutoMeter. I have a matching AutoMeter temp gauge new in the box this will be included with sale. I also have the three gauge bezel to mount the AutoMeter gauges below the dash, his will also be included). The existing temp gauge works perfectly but does not match the AutoMeter gauges. In the trunk you will find a battery cutoff switch, uel cell, ear mounted battery, nd the Nitrous Oxide Bottle. The wheels are Centerlines. Rear tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsmans... there is some wear on the rear tires :-D, nd the front tires are BFG Radial T/A.
