1963 Corvette convertible in need of complete restoration. Car build date is March 5, 963. Was originally Emerine White with blue interior. At some point body was sprayed red. This car sat for many years in a damp garage. Frame is rusty but is very solid. Body is one of the cleanest I have ever seen. No hit. No repairs except for one small crack under wheel lip which has 1" piece of fiberglass on it. Doors close beautifully, ith zero effort. Original fiberglass headlight buckets but no bezels. Engine is not original. Car had a 1967 short block in it. Now has a correct RE code 327 cast March 7, 963 and built March 13. It was running when I bought it so I replaced gaskets and re painted. Exhaust manifolds are Dorman aftermarket replacements. Water pump and finned harmonic balancer are original to the car. The starter is original, uilt February 7, 963 and has been professionally rebuilt. Alternator is original, uilt February 13, 963, lso professionally rebuilt. Intake manifold is casting number 3734129 and has been restored. Carburetor is Carter AFB 3461S with February 1963 date code restored by Chicago Corvette Supply. Original numbers matching transmission has been disassembled, ases media blasted, hen rebuilt with new bearings. Original flywheel has been media blasted and then resurfaced. New AC Delco clutch and pressure plate. Original bell housing. Rear differential is original and has a 3:70 gear ratio. Car DOES NOT come with the knockoff wheels pictured. 1963 never came with knockoffs anyway, ut these belong to another car. The car will have a set of junk Cragar SS wheels with old tires for rolling. I own a Corvette restoration shop but do not have time to invest into this project right now. Car can be viewed in person or if you need additional pictures or have questions please contact me.
