Description

This stunning 1970 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 Sedan is finished in gorgeous Moss Green Metallic over Bamboo leather interior. This 6.3 Sedan left the production line in July of 1970 and sold new to its first owner on August 21 1970 in Arlington VA by Philipsons and has been in Arlington Virigina from the same owner since 1993 when the second owner purchased the car and kept it in Virigina until the third owner moved it to Southern CA in 2006 where it has been ever since in a private collection. The car is documented all the way back to brand new with service records dating back to brand new. The beautiful Moss Green paint has recently been done within the last few years and still retains a gorgeous shine and depth. There are no paint defects or body defects to be found and the body is very straight and solid. There does not appear to be any damage repair or any rust anywhere on the car. All of the chrome is very nice and very presentable showing only small signs of age but free from any real hazing or heavy pitting. The leather interior is in very nice condition showing some lite signs of age on the driver seat and passenger seat. The leather is still very nice and soft and all original. The original carpets are in very nice condition and show very well. All of the wood is in excellent condition and has recently been re-done. There are no cracks in the dash and all of the original trim and chrome present very well. The engine starts right up and idles very well and free from any smoking under acceleration or start up. The engine pulls incredibly strong and has an enormous amount of power from the impressive 6.3 M100 V8 engine. The transmission shifts through the gears well (like an old Mercedes does) without any issues and does not give any signs of issues. The suspension has just undergone a major overhaul, he bags have recently been done and the system has been re-calibrated and works like it should. Once on start up the system will start to raise the car up to proper ride height and can be controlled by the lever inside to lower or raise the car all the way up to the highest ride height. The suspension feels excellent going down the road and is incredibly smooth and quiet. The steering is nice and tight and is free from any wondering or play. The brakes have a good strong feel to them and free from any fade or grinding. All of the electronics are operating and functioning as designed including all of the dash lights and center console lights. All of the turn signals, ide marker lights (side markers were not working in the pic but have been fixed) headlights, rake lights, everse lights, aillights, nd interior lights are all working. All four power windows are functioning as they should, he original Becker radio is operating correctly including the back light display and the original door buzzer is operating correctly. This 6.3 has been exceptionally well maintained and runs and drives beautifully. All of the original owners manuals, ooks, ecords jack and spare tire are all present including all of the original dealer stampings in the service booklet
