Description

This was my father's car until 1983, hen he retired from our auto-repair shop in Denverand moved to Fla. I remember helping him rebuild the engine back about 1975. My dad was well known as a race driver, ounder of The Classic Jaguar Association(still around today)and the Colorado area: Sunbeam Owners Association(1970s). He campaigned an Alpine with the SCCA in F-Production from 1976 to 1980 in Colorado, ith a few regional and national events also.

I google my dad's name from time to time and found his old car advertised under his name from a dealer in South Dakota(2013). I had to have it! Upon it's delivery here, found it to be needing a full restoration. The body was absolutely solid, ith only a one inch rust spot behind the left-rear wheel, ut most of the rest of the car needed rebuilding, eplacement, echrome...etc. The body work and paint was done beautifully from a top body man in Deer Trail, o.(same guy is currently restoring my 66' Healey 3000).

As you can see in the photos, he car has had almost everything worked on, ostly by me(other than the body work). New seat covers, oams and diaphrams, ew top, oor trim panels, carpeting, pper and lower dash pads, ew rubbers, ngine rebuilt with full machine work, ew pistons(series III flat-tops for higher compression, amshaft reground with a mild race grind, arbs. gone through, ew clutch, eplaced transmission with a good used unit and resealed it. Replaced the differential pumpkin and resealed it also. Brakes have been gone through.I have added a lower dash console with speakers and a am-fm CD player, ut this is not screwed in to anything and can be removed in a few minutes. Car comes with a good used tonneau cover and hardtop. The hardtop was also restored by the same guy who did the car's body(same black paint). I replaced the headliner, ide windows and all the rubber seals. No rust in the hardtop at all. The driving lights are original Lucas and work great. I have added another toggle switch to the dash, n the right side of the steering wheel for the driving lights and installed a proper relay kit for them. I've recently removed the rear exhaust resonator and installed one from my 67 E-Type Jag, hich sounds nicer and looks much better with the chrome. The only thing that does not make this car look original, s the aftermarket alloy wheels and low-profile tires. I have kept them because I think they look great and the handling is tight.

I will gladly answer all questions on this vehicle and welcome physical inspections.
