Factory-factory-factory warranty!
Not an after-market add-on, ot a warranty offered by the dealership, ut an original straight from the factory warranty, HAT ACTUALLY WORKS! Free road side assistance, ree towing, ree rental car, ree rides to and from the dealer. (You get the point)
This fully transferable factory warranty is good until 6/16/17 or 50,000 miles! That means if you buy my car, ou can feel 100% safe buying it from me (a complete stranger), nd driving it for a year or more. The next person can have the same vote of confidence in buying from you, nd still feel safe having a warranty for the first few months of their ownership. (That’s huge for resale!)
There are only 100 white 3rd Gens ever made. So if you’ve got the bug for a white one, ood luck because they’re hard to find.

MISC:
- The mechanic said the clutch has about 70% life left and looks perfect.
- The mechanic said the brakes are good for another 15,000 miles.
- I’ve always run 93 octane.
- The door windows are tinted 5%.
- 1 year and 7 months left in warranty. I believe you have the option to extend as long as the extension is made before the current one expires.
- I do get on it every now and then, nyone that says they don’t is lying. But what I never do is race it, ower shift it, r drop the clutch. I’ve never taken it to the track. I’ve had fast cars since I was 16, did all that jazz when I was younger. My goal of owning this car was just to have something sporty to drive with my girlfriend(s) on the weekends :)
- The front tires are factory, he back tires are aftermarket. In my opinion there is about 5-7,000 miles left on the tires however everyone has a different opinion on tires.

MY CAR HUNTING EXPERIENCE:
A year and 1/2 ago I decided I wanted a fun car. A Viper checked all my boxes. It’s pure American muscle, eautiful lines, nstant torque, nd it has that 100K look for a 55k price tag.
As far as color, didn’t want that hard to clean black… I didn’t want, OOK AT ME!! yellow… and I’m not too sure about red. So that left me with only 1 choice… white with blue stripes :)
But there was only 100 ever made and I’m very picky. So after about 1 year of searching Auto Trader and Ebay every day, was tired of waiting. I was tired of finding cars that might have been wrecked, ired of spending time that I could be using instead to enjoy life or to run my business. So I traded the commodity I knew I could get more of for the commodity I could never get more of. I traded my money for my time.
I paid a few more thousand dollars than I wanted to for this car, ut I can look back over all the fun times I’ve had with it. Hanging out with the guys, oing to Cars and Coffee on Saturday mornings, atching the look on girls’ faces when I picked them up for a date. Or the thought in my head as I watched their faces light up. All the memories were completely worth it and I’m hoping to find a good home for her.
Before I bought the car I had it inspected by 2 different Viper mechanics and it passed in all areas. I bought the car when it had about 9,000 miles from someone I became friends with. So I ended up getting the honest and full story on the car, t had never been wrecked or ragged out, hat’s what I really cared about. And it didn’t have any modifications! That was a big thing for me. No performance chips, o loud exhaust, o tacky add-ons, ust pure untouched factory. I did however JUST put a K&N air filter on. Not for performance, ut because it was the same price as factory and their filters are better than the factory cotton ones.

MY FINANCING & PAYMENTS THAT I HAD:
I had the money to pay cash for the car but I have good credit so my local credit union gave me a rate of 2.99%. I decided I was smart enough to be able to make a better return than 2.99% on my money so I went for it. I walked out with a payment of $747. Out of the monthly payment $86.00 is going towards interest and the remaining $661.00 is going to the balance of the loan.
So making payments rather than paying cash is actually costing me only $86.00 a month. I completely believe it’s worth $86 to keep my $5x,xxx in my business rather than in the car.
Every month I save 10% of my income and put it into some form a savings. Well, efore I bought this car I asked myself if I wanted to:
1. Put the money in the bank where it’s going to sit and do nothing.
2. Invest the money into a standard type of investment like a 401K.
3. Put that $661.00 into the balance of this loan, here I might not be able to “make money” from it. But instead have the dividends of enjoying life and being happy. So because I bought a car that holds its value, t has a warranty, nd because cars are still climbing across the board for the next few years, here’s an extremely good chance I will be able to get my money back.

I HAD THE DEALERSHIP REPLACE A LOT OF PARTS ON THE CAR UNDER WARRANTY :
When the car was first purchased some stranger paid a lot of money for it, nd I think they paid around $4,000 for the factory warranty. So I don’t feel guilty about using it. I’ve gotten them to replace or fix anything I could possibly think of. I do have to add that the people at the dealership are very cool, hey like me and they love the car, o it wasn’t that hard. And I got away with quite a bit :)
THINGS I PAID FOR:
- Cup holder $40
- Official Mopar short shifter made by Hurst (Does NOT void the warranty) dealer installed $500
- Trunk lid hydraulics $90
- New spark plugs $200
- Engine oil change $175
- Full points “purchase inspection” by 2 different Viper mechanics. $400
- New battery when I bought it $250
- Custom fit heavy duty Wolf car cover $300
- Just put on this week, &N intake kit. Only because the factory cotton filters are the same price as the whole kit from K&N. I hate the cotton ones.
- Wash / Clay cloth / Color correction / Wax / Shampoo inside seats and carpet $250
- Custom locking gas cap that opens with ignition key $150 (Bought for safety precautions)
- Full air-conditioning service and recharge (just finished) $290
TOTAL: $2,905.00

WARRANTY ITEMS:
- New widow motors
- Brand new transmission & rear end.
- Without warranty would have been around $15k
After about 6 months of owning the car I would drive around my parking deck and hear a humming noise coming from the rear end. It’s a beast of a car so I knew some noise was normal. But I did some research on-line and found that Vipers are notorious for having the spider gears go bad.
So armed with this information I took the car in and left it for about a month, hey finally agreed that something was wrong and replaced the rear end with a brand new one. They did NOT fix the old one. They put in a complete NEW one. So I left the dealership with a smile on my face :)
But as time went on the noise still persisted. So they eventually found the problem was a main bearing inside the transmission, nd decided to replace it with a new transmission - NOT a refurbished one - a completely new one.
So this car has a brand new transmission, nd rear end. That my friends is what I call A WIN !
I didn’t want something that had been patched together, wanted brand new, nd they gave it to me :) Every new item installed comes with a 3 year warranty. So from what I’m told, ven after the Max Care warranty runs out, he 3 year warranty on the new parts will still be effective. In my option, hat’s reassurance at its best, nd a reason to buy this car over another one.
I tried to get them to replace the clutch too but it had 70% life left so they wouldn’t do it. Plus I looked at it myself and they were telling the truth. While the transmission was out I had them put on a Mopar short shifter. I’m all about factory parts but it was perfect timing so I went for it.
In my opinion having a new transmission and rear end is a positive feature. If it was patched up or rebuilt that would be a different story. But the work was all done by the same person and all at the same dealership, o no funny business.

NEGATIVES OF CAR:
This is pretty much one of the cleanest cars you’ll find. Honest, he really is like new - Zero wear on the seats - Zero wear on the steering wheel and shifter. When it’s hot outside the car still releases that new car smell!
However the few spots that are not perfect are as follows:
- The wheels on the drivers side have curb some small curb rash.
- There are small pebble chips from rocks hitting behind the front tires. (None on rear)
- One or two rock chips on the very front
- Very small scratch on rear bumper (too small to show up on camera)
- Small scratch on the passenger side “door still” where girls hit it with their shoes.
That’s all that I’ve been able to find…it really is in good shape.

OUR TRANSACTION - Must read:
I have the car listed for sale locally, o am reserving the right to pull the listing. I am located in Tampa Fl, bout 10 minutes from the airport (TPA). You can fly in and I’ll pick you up or you can drive down and stay in a hotel, our choice.
I would like to point that I do NOT NEED to sell this car, don’t even really want to sell her. But I want a boat and pride myself on making smart financial choices, o I’m only going to allow myself to have 1 toy at a time until I sell my 3rd house. DO NOT come to me with low ball offers, ’m just going to hang up on you or not respond.
We can go to the dealership together and you can talk to the mechanic that has single handedly worked on the car by himself for the past few years. (From the previous owner as well.) They can put it on the lift and you can take a look underneath and inspect it. Do a compression test, r anything you want. They can also give us a copy of the service records. I’ve just gotten it back from the dealership and had them give it a once over, verything looks perfect. But if for some reason you find something that’s an issue we can have the dealership fix whatever it is, efore you even pay me.
You will have to stay here overnight in order for us to be able to transfer over the warranty. We might be able to get it all done in one day but it’s better to stay overnight just to make sure. When completing the Ebay portion of the sale, require $500.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit due within 48 hours. This can be done via paypal, ire transfer, r I can run your credit card using paypal. If you use credit card or paypal there will be an extra $50 fee so take that into account.
I will give you 5 business days to pay for the car, f you do not pay in full by then I will be re-listing the car on Ebay and keeping the deposit.
I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU SET UP FINANCING BEFORE BUYING THE CAR ON EBAY. I’ve had people in the past think they can get financing but then find out they can’t, r for whatever reason it won’t work out. So please do both of us a favor and have all your affairs in order BEFORE completing the listing.
FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU CAN TEXT / CALL ME. I only check e-mails every 2 days. (352) 585-2208 Michael.
