The name Riviera, atin for coastline, as chosen to evoke the allure and affluence of the French Riviera.The Riviera was radically redesigned for the 1971 model year with flowing and dramatic "boat-tail" styling making this, he third generation, rguably the most desirable Riviera design ever. When I found a nice example right here in my own backyard I was eager to get a closer look at it. What I saw was a nicely preserved car with a good, lossy finish that shows well with a few minor nicks and scratches having been resprayed at some point in the past. The interior is good condition with nice seats and panels however the drivers door panel was painted white by the previous owner but luckily they stopped before going any further with that plan(the good news is that it will come off with solvent and appears to be in good condition under the paint, ee all pics!) The power windows work and the rear glass is good however, he windshield does have a crack in it. Under side pics reveal a solid chassis with minor superficial rust present on most components.
