Oldsmobile 1970 Toronado GT. Rebuilt motor and carburetor.
Rings, od bearings, and main bearings have been replaced.
Overall car is in good condition. I do not have time or facilties to finish
it and I have three cars, o space and with insurance I can not justify
the extra expense. Dash lights stopped working and it may be a fuse
or loose connection on headlight switch (headlights do work). Fuel gauge is erratic even
though I took the sending unit out and resistance checked good. Tank appeared
to be good also. ( Have extra dash cluster which is included which possibly might be the case but not completely sure. Includes speedometer) Drives solid. I put a high energy distributor to replace
the old points and condenser. Car is stock with the OM transmission.
This is a pure GT. They made around 5500 of the GT models out of 24000
Toronados produced in 1970. The options include a slotted rear bumper,400 HP
stock motor instead of the 365 in the standard Toronado, M transmission
with the beefed up torque converter. Power windows work but slowly and
the master is erratic at times. Must use the switches to other windows to lower and raise them.
There is no post between back and front windows.
Window seals are fair but will need to be replaced at some point. A/C and Heat work great!
Fuse link from the starter solenoid is acting up and have a replacement for it.
Transmission paw engages but occasionally it won't and car will roll (It might be a minor adjustment of the linkage which controls the parking paw which engages the parking gear). Interior is in pretty good shape for the year. Separation on seats you can see in pics from being aged. carpet in good shape but needs a little cleaning. Drivers door interior pull lock broken so you have to use the key.
(see pic) Pearl white custom paint job on the exterior with green interior. Some surface rust but not much. Some minor Cracks in paint.
New tires with 2 sets of hub caps. Brand new still in bag hood insulation. Owners manual.
This car spent a lot of time in Texas. It has been in Utah for the last 3 years. If you have
any mechanical abilities all the items wrong are easy fixes.
This is not a basket case car. This is truly a rare car and the last year of the original body
style Toronado. The original body style ran from 1966 with the first Toronado produced to 1970.
The 1970 was also the only Toronado of the original body style that did not have retractable head lights.
I hate to get rid of it but it needs a good home and someone to fix it up. My price I believe is really
fair for what I see on various web sites for these cars that are really in bad shape. With a little TLC you can use this car as a daily driver. I used this car for my daily driver for quite some time. Any questions feel free to contact me. Please no solicitations.
Serious buyers only. Will not ship to other countries. Shipping arrangements by buyer only.
I would think this car could be driven to it's destination but I would suggest a trailer till what I have described is remedied.

It seems that there are a lot of things wrong with this car but truly they are minimal. I just wanted to be as honest as possible to the best of my knowledge. You can view the feedback on previous cars that I have sold.
