1980 Grey Market Mercedes Benz 450 SL Standard Transmission

In early November I received a call from an old friend asking if I would come and take a look at a 80model SL that he had traded for. WOW what he had was an excellent example of a true European Classic. This car has been in dry storage for 2 years it was started on a regular basis and allowed to warm up, n further inspection I found that the clutch hydraulics had failed, hat was the reason for the trade. I took the car to my shop replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders with factory parts and it is wonderful. The previous owner had installed sheep skins over the seats I pulled them back and the upholstery is in very, ery good condition. It has an older repaint that is almost flawless there three or four small cracks around the hood emblem but other than that very good. The car has a set of real BBS wheels with P6 tires that are in good condition.The engine runs as it should and still has the air pump installed. This car was owned by an older person that had service preformed and was not a smoker it does have the factory hard top and is in collector quality with the exception of the radio and BBS wheels all original it has no rust and is 100% dry underneath this is truly an exceptional find.
