:
This black 2004 Mercedes E320 Wagon is my current daily driver, ith a little over 81,700 miles. The transmission still shifts smoothly and the ride is comfortable.
In May 2015, he car received the following new parts:new headlight assemblies, ew shocks, ew rotors, rake pads, ew wheels, wo new tires, ain baffle for windshield, ew battery (not installed but included), il filter, oil, ngine air filters, abin air filter and compressor air filter.
The last official visit to the dealer occurredin 2013, nder the previous owner.
As shown in thepicturesincluded, here is minor driver-side door damage that has made a minor crease in the metal, s well as driver-side rear quarter panel body work. These elements of damage, whichoccurredunder the previous owner, are not very visually evident. Only after close examination would you notice the door crease, s it follows the contour of the body, nd the rear quarter panel isindistinguishableafter a waxing (though there is a slight gap between the rear tail light and that panel). None of thesediscrepanciesappeared on Carfax when I purchased it.
Video of quarter panel below.
The Interior:
The interior of the car is very clean and intact, ncluding clean ashtrays (Non-Smoker vehicle) and rear tailgate privacy guard. The driver seat has a minor tear (shown), nd the rest of the seats are mint.
The sunroof opens and closes properly, hough the sun guard has come off the track and has torn. I usually leave it retracted, aking itunnoticeable.
Both front seatselectronicswork flawlessly, ncluding the seat memory controls for up to three drivers.
There is anauxiliary jack or phones/ipod in the glove compartment.A mini velcro adhesive was added just above the glove box for an aftermarket 3.5mm Bluetoothadapter, hich is included.
The rearretractableprivacyguard no longer automatically rises when the tailgate opens. This stopped working under my ownership, nd I believe there's a minoradjustmentrequired.
The 6-Disc audio system works well and sounds great. The only issue is that the center channel speaker seems to have dried out and will wine with certainfrequencies, ut I have a replacement that can be included.
The rugs are pretty clean (especially rear passenger) and can cleaned before pickup.
The glove box keyhole has some scratches on it (shown)
The rearseat beltsare slightly discolored from years of being touched. The hidden bottoms of the rear seats are stained, s if someone spilled something on them, whichis only visible when the seats are folded up. The area is not sticky, ndoccurredunder the previous owner.
Exterior:
Beyond the minor damage mentioned in the overview, he exterior still looks great and responds well to waxing. There's minor road rash associated with the vehicles age near the front headlights (shown).
There are minor scuffs on the areaunderneaththe rear loading bay from normal wear and tear
Both rear view mirrors needcosmetic rubber gaskets, nd arecurrentlybrittle and cracked (shown).
This vehicle still looks contemporary and turns heads some 11 years later.
The under body is rust-free, s is originated in California.
Performance:
The car has received nothing below premium 93 since myownership. The engine is smooth and acceleration is linear.
Potential FutureMaintenance:
The only issue that is inconsistent is an aging, ubber transmission isolation mount that will need replacement soon. Because of this, n cold days, he transmission produces a rumble felt within thevehicle cabin when cold. A proper computer diagnosis has been performed, eliminating the possibility of the engine producing this occasion rumble, s well. That OEM part sells for about $80-120.
Currently, he vehicle is indicating that a brake job should be completed soon, ut braking remains smooth. Most likely 50% brake pads left.
The SBC battery (aseparatebattery for the brake system, acked up by aconventionalhydraulic system) has not been replaced under my ownership, nd should receive servicing in the next 6 months.
((((Pickup Only))))) No Shipping, uyerresponsiblefor pickup (vehicle can be driven away).
