OK, ERE IS THE STORY. I AM NOT A DEALER, BOUGHT THIS CAR IN TEXAS 13 THIRTEEN YEARS AGO AND HAVE DRIVEN IT EVERYWHERE. I ALSO HAVE TWO OTHER TDI PASSATS SO I KNOW THESE CARS. IN 2012 I DROVE THIS CAR ACROSS THE COUNTRY FROM MARYLAND TO CALIFORNIA AND I USED THREE TANKS OF FUEL. THE CAR WAS FULL AND I GOT 44.5 ON THE FIRST TANK THEN IT WENT DOWN. I GOT 44.4 THEN 44.3 ON THE LAST TANK. THIS WAS 100% HIGHWAY DRIVING WITH A LOT OF EXTRA WEIGHT IN THE CAR. I HAVE A MARYLAND TITLE AND THE CAR IS IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA. IT HAS ZERO RUST AND NOTHING EVEN BEGINNING TO SHOW. IT HAS NEVER BEEN HIT OR IN AN ACCIDENT. I DRIVE IT EVERYDAY TO WORK SO THE ODOMETER WILL CONTINUE TO CLIMB. THE DOORS CONTINUE TO BE A PROBLEM FOR THESE CARS AND MY PROBLEM DOORS ARE THE RT FRONT AND LEFT REAR. HARD/WON'T OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE A/C IS COLD BUT THE HEAT IS ANEMIC. DON'T NEED THE HEAT HERE. ALL WINDOWS WORK AND ARE ORIGINAL. THERE HAS BEEN ONE LIGHT ON IN THE DASH FOR 13 YEARS AND THAT IS THE SEAT BELT LIGHT. THE TIMING BELT WAS RECENTLY CHANGED BY TDI SPECIALIST OF SAN DIEGO. THEY ALSO REBUILT THE PUMP BECAUSE OF THE CRAP DIESEL THAT IS SOLD HERE IN CALIFORNIA. I UNDERSTAND THAT NOW THE SEALS WILL HOLD. IT WAS DONE I GUESS 2 YEARS AGO. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY AS NEEDED, AYBE TWO TIMES AND I HAVE THE RADIO CODE. THIOS IS A GREAT CAR AND IS FOR SALE LOCALLY SO IF YOU REALLY WANT IT CALL. MOST OF THE PICTURES ARE OF THE OUTSIDE BECAUSE I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO DRIVES IT AND I HAVE MY "STUFF" INSIDE SO THE SEATS ARE LIKE NEW EXCEPT FOR SOME WEAR ON THE DRIVER SEAT. I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL FLOOR MATS. CALL ME BEFORE 7PM PACIFIC TIME IF YOU NEED INFO OR TEXT BUT I DON'T LIKE TO TEXT. I AM A MATURE DRIVER WHO TAKES CARE OF THE CAR. TRANSMISSION CLUTCH AND ALL ARE IN GOOD SHAPE.
