A brief description:
My replica Kubelwagen was built by Kooblekar Skunkwerkes in Albuquerque New Mexico. The car was built on a 1973 VW Beetle chassis and is street legal and titled in the state of Washington. The car has a large 1913cc engine which is excellent running condition. Since owning the car I taken immaculate care of it and been stored inside. It has been my hobby improving its appearance and running condition. I have maintained a written history of the car maintenance since I’ve owned it, o include all maintenance completed and improvements. This car has a lot of great features and every thing you could possibly want to have on your Kubelwagen. First of all the the car is in excellent running condition its “turn key and go”. This Kubelwagen is modeled after a early production Kubelwagen closely resembling a 1941 or 1942. Some of the features and improvements I have done are as follows: I have color matched the paint and added a 3 color camouflage pattern inspired by a original in a museum in France. I have also added custom Kubelwagen stencils and unit markings. The Kubelwagon has had authentic WWII German license plates added. A 3/4 inch tow rope has been added to the front tow hooks. A new NoPic34c carburetor has been installed. I have added a custom made wooden battery box made of cedar. I have replaced the old canvas roof with a new custom fit one. I have also had made a matching canvas front windshield cover for use when windshield is folded down. It has operational semaphores one recently recoiled, hich are a very cool feature. All four coil-over shocks have recently been replaced. I recently replaced the right windshield motor and both wiper blades and arms. The rifle rack has been lined with leather as the originals were to protect the rifles. The original side curtain windows are included and are in good condition. I have added a custom made machine gun mount copied from original details. The tires are in excellent condition to include a brand new spare mounted on the front the car. The car mounted shovel handle has also been refinished. The whole car has been meticulously gone over and cleaned. I have recently purchased a original Kubelwagen and will be restoring it, his is the only reason I would ever part with this car which I have enjoyed so much. Any questions please ask.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I recently replaced the battery so it comes with a brand new one. I will include 3 partial used quart cans of paint for the 3 colors on the car. The front tow hooks are from a original Kubelwagon. The body of the car is complete steel construction and in great shape, o rust anywhere. The Tires are a Coker Replica of the originals used on he Kubelwagen, ery nice tires, verything written in German as it should be. The spare is brand new never used, he 4 on the car are in very good condition. These tires sell for about $250 each. The only real thing that I still haven't fixed it the horn but its there and all the parts. The car does have nicks and scratches in the paint but a working Kubelwagen would and they are pretty minor and easily fixed. MG42 machine gun is not included with vehicle.
