1998 ford f150

this truck has a brand new tires,new plugs,new wires new oil change,1 new valve cover gasket.just got it out the shop yesterday drove it home,the truck ran really well,got in the truck today and it start but when i gave it gas it died,so i went back to the mechanic and told him what happen he said my idle air control valve is bad. i bought a new one and now it wont start, called him back he said i flooded it. iv had nothing but bad luck with trucks last few months,i just went out and bought a 2009 silverado. the truck did smoke a little but went away. this truck has been sitting about a year or two.the battery is weak,has a crack in windshield.and the wipers need repair. the truck has a nice solid body,good paint. interior is nice,the dash is peeling but not to bad.trans shifted good and engine sounded good. i dont know what went bad but its something simple i just dont have the time to put any more money in it. headlights,brake lights, eat and ac,and radio all works fine.
