1965 CHEVY 1/2 TON SHORT BED SERVICE TRUCK

This1965Chevy ½ ton 2WDshort bed service truck was builtat the Fremont plantin California and this truck has spent its entire life in Northern California. This truck was ordered new by the placer county school district and was used as a light duty service truck over the years. THE BODY- The body on this truck is in good condition for being a service work truck. The floors feel solid form above and look solid from below. Both of thekick panels look to be in good condition there is no rusty holes down low. The fire wall is in good condition and has not been cut up or damaged and there are no rusty spots on the driver’s side or passenger side in the upper corners of the fire wall. The original paint is still intact on the fire wall and it is in good original condition with light surface rust only. The rear bed panels or side boxes are original to thetruck and overall they are in good original condition. The side boxes or not rusted out on the bottoms and all the doors are in good working order. The tail gate to the truck is dented and wavy. Both the front fenders are original to the truck and there is no rust holes down low. The inner fender wells shows no signs of rust they both look good. The original battery tray is intact and it is not rotted out.The radiator support is also original andshows no signs ofrust or collisions.The outer rockers are solid and shows no signs ofrust same with the cab corners. The inner rockers and body braces are also solid they look good. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both outside and inside look solid and they both have light surface rust only. Behind the inner windshield rubber across the top is dry and still shows its original paint at the pinch weld this area is not rusted out. The top of the metal dash down by the windshields rubber is in good condition and still has the original paint and is not rusty. The hood is straight and is not bowed it fits well. The original hood hinges are in good condition and are not sprung. The rain gutters are not rusted out and the roof is in good structural condition with light surface rust only. The original doors shut good and line up nicely to the body and there are no rust holes down low. Overall the body on this truck is in good original condition for being a 1965 work truck and while looking down the sides it is strait with only a few small dings and dents here and there. The back of the cab below the rear back window is pushed in above the upper bed line and below the rear window line. The bottom side of this truck is not rotted outor full of under coating it is apparent when looking underneath this truck. The front and rear of the frame shows no signs of damage, ollisions or rot spots it looks good. The paint on this truck is old and worn off throughout with nicks and chips but it’s a cool look and it gets attention while on the road.

THE INTERIOR- The inside of thistruck is showing it’s originality but is clean and presentable. The original seat was reupholstered and is in good condition. The original gauges are intact and are in working order along with the heater. The original steering wheel is in good original condition. The original rubber mat is intact and shows no signs of being worn through. The original radio is intact but it is not working andthere is no added speaker holes in the doors. The door rubbers are in good condition and the doors shut nicely.

THE MOTOR- This motor is a stock original 6 CYwith all the stock accessories from the factory except the electronic ignition. thisis a good running motor that hasgood power and it is not a leaker or smoker.

THE TRANS - The original 3 speed trans shifts good and is in good working order and is not a leaker. The rear end is a nice tight rear end that does not clunk or howl also when you drop this truck in to gear there is no universal joint clunks or noises.

THE SUSPENSION – This truck was lowered with dropped front and rear springs, djustable panhard bar and new shocks. This truck rides good and it does not bottom out and the rest of the suspension is stock to the truck. The stock drum brakes are in good working order.

THE RIMS ANDTIRES- Thetires are new and the stock steel wheels have a cool look to them. The hubcaps are not mine and are not included in this sale.

THE OVER ALL- This c10 truck is a cool driver with a great shop truck look. The windshield is in like new condition and the rest of the glass is original to the truck and is not cracked or broken. The exhaust is old but is not leaking and is intact. The wood in the bed was replaced and it’s in good solid condition. The black plates are original to the truck and they come with the truck.The yellow sticker on the glove box is an old safety sticker. This short bed service body truck is unique and the big back window option is a bonus this truck is not something you see that often. This is an affordable classic that would make a great shop truck or advertisement truck.
