1958 Mercury Monterey, original unmolested survivor 72k mi beautiful rust free

Up for auction is an original 1958 Mercury Monterey. The paint is original with the exception of the hood which appears to have been repainted may years ago.

Vehicle is equipped with a 383 V8, ith apush button automatic transmission.Dual exhaust with smittie mufflers.

The body is 100% solid and 100% original. The panels are super straight and dent free. The original paint is in very good condition. The top of the fenders have been rubbed through fromit being polished over the last 57 years.

The undercarriage is extremely clean and 100% solid!!

The interior was recovered in vinyl and is in excellent condition. Gauges and lights all work properly.

Just replaced wheel cylinders, ater pump, hermostat, elts, uel pump and exhaust manifolds were removed, lanedand replaced withnew gaskets and bolts. This work was performed after pictures of the enginewere taken.

Vehicle runs and drives extremely well.

My father sold the Mercury to the previous owner back in 2007. A lot of work was done to the vehicle before my father sold it. When it was sold there was an mistake made with the mileage on the title at DMV. The purchaser put more miles on the title than there was so there is 72,166 on the car but the title states that in 2007 it had 74,555.The gentleman he sold the car to got sick shortly after he purchased the car and it sat for a few years. I bought the car back after he passed away with the intention of using it as a survivor but I don't have time to use it.

This vehicle is inbeautiful originalcondition and it hasn't been molested in any way. This is a true rare find. These Mercurys are becoming collectable and are very hard to find in this original condition. The vehicle speaks for itself as you can see in the pictures.
