She is a rare, ow 61,000 mile, umbers matching, pecial ordered 1970 Adventurer Camper Special. This "Sweptline" has the 383 big block motor, 27 automatic transmission, ower assist steerin, ower brakes and bright trim package. This bad ass is as loaded as it got!
I received the truck from Billy, local automotive Legend, ho had gotten her from the original California owner; a collage professor who lived somewhere in the East county desert of San Diego, alifornia which is why she is basically rust free. All of his other life time treasures, ncluding other vintage trucks, ars and tractors were there. Billy brought her home, iped off the years of dust, ot her running well and did all the hard work of getting her pink slip California registration. Now the camper shell has been removed and after cruising Southern California for the last few months, his great Dodge Sweptline is now ready for another life!
She is a very, ery solid vintage truck with none of the typical front floor rust. The only spots of rust are the 4 lower door corners and their very small. The rockers are absolutely solid! She is super cleanunderneath. The tailgate was never installed as she is an original camper conversion but one can easily be located. The bed has lots of scratches and small dings from years of use, ut no big dents and is as solid as the day she left the factory. And the patina of age has made her timeless! She will need new tires and a new windshield. This is a vintage Sweptline pickup that would make for a very easy restoration to collectors condition if thats your thing.Or just take her and haul around all yourheaviest stuff!
She was quite an expensive truck when new and would have been the Queen of the fleet, herished by her owner!
