1975 Porsche 911S
O bought this car in June of 2014. The plan was to create a R Gruppe type car with the correct period updates and a 3.2L motor conversion. Everything I wanted to do is complete EXCEPT for the motor conversion.
My interests have moved to Mercedes and BMW and I have no desire to continue with this project. This car starts, dles and sounds great but there is a backfire issue. I have had it looked at locally but no one seems to have any answers.
I recently had the exhaust manifold gaskets replaced to stop an exhaust leak that was thought to have caused the problem. I have only driven the car a short distance to put the car away for the season and experienced
no problems but I cannot confirm if the backfire issue has been solved or made better.
This Porsche is a three-owner car. The original owner had it up until he passed away and the car was sold in 2011/2012. I bought the car from the second owner in 2014. This is a RUST FREE car with some paintwork done in the 80's. The paint is presentable but shows its age. The interior is in great original condition.
I have removed the AC and other items to get the look I wanted but all of the original parts will go with the car.
This car is truly a survivor and the condition reflects the love that all the owners have given this car.
As is common withthese early cars there are some oil leaks.
I have some paperwork from the original owner from 1976 to 2010. I do not have any paperwork after that.
This is a 40 year old car, t is not a brand new car. With any vehicle of it's age, /p>
it does have a few very minor blemishes that can only be found by a close inspection.
