1967 BUICK GS 400 Automatic RWD Convertible

The story of the 1967 Buick GS 400

Wayne Cedarholm bought the car in 1972 with just over 4000 miles. And drove it to school and home a couple miles away. In 1976 he bought a new car so he could preserve this car. It was parked in his father's garage and driven occasionally on weekends until 1978.

In 1978 they got married and life and kids got in the way of messing around with a car. It sat in his father's garage untouched until 1999 when his Mother got sick and said she would like to take a ride in it with the top down. So they changed the oil put in a new battery and took her for a ride before she passed. Unfortunately the top and interior were starting to show their age.

The car was again parked in his Fathers garage until 2005 when on Wayne’s 50th birthday I gave him a birthday gift of a new top and upholstery. They also did some needed repairs mechanically the car was driven occasionally.

In 2008 they used the car for their son's wedding. Then the car was driven off and on maybe a few times a year until 2010. In 2010 Wayne was diagnosed with Leukemia and he passed in 2013 the car sat untouched in his father's garage until it was sold to Steve Nielsen in 2015.

I own Steve’s Hot Rod Garage. In about Feb of 2015 I bought the 67 GS 400 we took it in and did a new convertible top, e also rebuilt all the hydraulic system for the convertible top redid the ball joints, ushings and fixed a small rust spot on the drivers floor and a small piece in the truck. Then we cleaned up the trunk floor and recoated it.

Rebuilt carb and replaced choke very expensive and hard to find NOS part. Replaced several new gaskets and repainted motor. Put new rollers in pass side rear window. New ball joints control bushings, ew water pump and antifreeze, eunder coated repairs, epair a couple paint spots
