2004 Jeep Liberty Sport,3.7 liter, WD, ppx 145k miles, riginal owner. I bought this Jeep with dual drive new in Sept 2004. It was used for mail delivery until early 2009 when I received an LLV. I used it as my personal vehicle and had the conversion removed as it was leaking water from the road due to the holes drilled into for the petals. It has not leaked since. I transferred from Pennsylvania to Florida in 2013 and needed to reinstate my Jeep for mail delivery. I bought a new RHD (right hand drive)conversion kit, ad it professionally installed, nd my journey began. Since reinstatement, have spent almost $11,000 in the conversion and repairs (and that’s just what I have receipts for!). All repairs have been professionally done by certified mechanics and the transmission is still under warranty! New parts/repairs include: Dec 2013..RHD Conversion Kit & Install..$1900 April 2014..Rear Differential, inion & case bearings..$771 April 2014..Spark Plugs & Coils, each..$294 April 2014..Radiator..$548 May 2014..Front Struts..$504 June 2014..Ignition Starter & Ignition Switch..$123 July 2014..Radiator Cap..$110 Oct 2014..Crankshaft & Cam Sensors..$180 Jan 2015..Radiator Cooling Fan..$376 Apr 2015..Lower Right & Left Ball Joints..$343 June 2015..Rear Axle Assembly…$728 Jun 2015..Upper Left Control Arm & Ball Joint Assembly..$267 Jun 2015..Upper Right Control Arm & Ball Joint Assembly..$267 Jul 2015..Right Front Window Regulator & Motor Assembly..$227 Jul 2015..Right Front Brake Caliper, ront Brake Pads, ear Rotors..$753 Oct 2015..Water Pump; Front & Rear Universal Joints; Speed Sensor..$574 Nov 2015..Transmission Overhaul including: new banner kit w/clutches, eals, askets, amp; bushings, emanufactured torque converter, ew solenoid pack, ew forward drum assembly, ew filter & OEM approved fluid; New Engine Rear Main Seal; New Engine Valve Cover Gaskets; Assorted Hoses (1yr/12k mile warranty) Total..$2633 Nov 2015..Starter $286 Jan 2016..Spark Plugs $15 This Jeep has some minor rust, ings, nd scratches but is a great delivery vehicle! Front left seat has been removed and replaced with a platform that can accommodate 2 trays and/or tubs side by side. I take DPS to the street in this vehicle. The interior could use a cleaning, f you care, ut I don’t. It’s a workhorse! Also, t will need new tires soon. The mechanic who installed the transmission, ear main seal, nd valve covers said that the engine is in great condition and I have replaced most of the structural components so it’s like getting a much newer vehicle. Features include: AM/FM radio w/CD player, ower windows (switches are located in the center console so you can reach them!), ower doors, OLD A/C, eat, og lights. Also it has an after-market remote start installed but it hasn’t worked in a while. I suspect that the remote control needs a new battery. Although everything is running good, he “check engine” light is always on..if you are mechanical, aybe you can figure out what it wants..It starts up great and I commute 23 miles, hen deliver a 23 mile route and commute home 5 days per week with no problems…I just ignore the check engine light. I had the catalytic converters cut out because we thought they were causing heat issues…it turned out to be that the radiator cooling fan was not working in the “high” position so it was replaced. Also, he emergency brake is not currently working..needs new shoes but there are no hills here in Florida so I didn’t bother with it. This Jeep does not like the Florida heat/humidity…but who does! It’s been recommended that the thermostat be removed and that a racing car additive called “Super Cool” be used. It does not overheat, ut will misfire with excessive heat and humidity but only with the A/C running and while delivering mail…I’ve never had an issue while highway driving! So, hat’s all I know and that’s probably everything you can think of to ask me. I am transferring offices and will be getting an LLV again. You pick up in Tampa, loridaand you pay any sales tax/transfer fees.
