1969 Chevelle SS 396 L78 4 Speed Car

Up for sale is the Very Rare Lime Metallic paint code # 59 1969 L78 SS 396 4- Speed Chevelle, his car was deemed the Factory's Fastest in 1969.What was the L78? It was 375 hp wrapped up inside a 396-cid engine. 9,486 L78 Chevelle's were ordered in 1969. The Lime Metallic paint code number 59 was rare.This is possibly one of the most pristine Chevelle's in the country. The car had a full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration in the 80s and has not had over 5k miles put on it since then. It has always been kept in a climate controlled garage and only taken out to go to shows.

The body has all the original sheet metal and has never had any rust or damage. All panels fit very well equal to factory fit or better. The car was repainted the factory Lime Metallic and every effort was made to duplicate the factory finish, his was not done in a basecoat clean coat urethane that has been sanded and buffed and over restored. The metallic is laid out even and there is just a slight bit of texture just as it came from the factory. Every effort was made to look just as close to factory as possible and the job was done very nicely.

All of the chrome, tainless and glass are original. The door panels, ear panels carpet and seats have been replaced.The interior could use some minor detailing.

The engine is matching numbers and was completely rebuilt back to factory specs as was the transmission clutch assemblyand rear end. There are a few performanceupgrades on the car ( she is a beast and sounds amazing ).The headers, inch exhaust and ignition was upgraded. Easy to change back the original exhaust manifolds come with the car.
