You are bidding on an authentic 1984 Citroen 2cv (deux chevaux) Charleston in excellent original condition with low mileage. Per common practice it is registered as a 1970 car, presumably to bring it into North America as an antique years ago.
Aside from a new top, king pins, partial exhaust, and 1-2-3 Ignition, this car has never been fooled with. Originally exported to Canada, it has spent most of its life in California, resulting in a solid, rust-free body. This is one of the nicest all-original examples of a Charleston you will find anywhere. It has always been properly serviced and babied, and features a true mileage of just over 40,000. (kilometer reading on odometer is 68,300.)
This car drives perfectly and needs nothing other than the usual TLC. It bears a few small scratches from the road and some tiny dings that don't detract from its overall appearance. But on the plus side, it does include little extras such as the factory "Hatchback" kit, which is useful for any number of bizarre things, though exactly what escapes me at the moment. So if you want a show car, look elsewhere. But if you want an honest, original 2cv you can get in and drive anywhere, this is very likely the best value you will find.
These cars are becoming more scarce and rapidly increasing in value in the U.S. But my reserve is fair and reasonable, and far less than the figures reflected in Hagerty's and other price guides. It will run only once on ebay since there are numerous other venues for special interest cars. You can get it for a bargain price here or see it relisted elsewhere for much more.
Additionally the car is located near the intersection of I-85 AND I-95, south of Richmond Virginia. Easy to find and pick up for shipping. (Or drive it home!)On Aug-20-16 at 20:38:49 PDT, seller added the following information:

I will add more photos on Sunday. I have owned, and now own several 2 CVs and this one is the most fun to drive.
