1970 Datsun 1600 Roadster (SPL311)Original condition Datsun Roadster with 46250 milesMy first car was a 1967 Roadster. So. in 2011 I purchased this 1970 model with 43. 60 just to own another . The car has been very reliable and I enjoyed driving it around town and to work a few times. I believe that I am the third owner of this car. I bought the car on eBay and was provided maintenance records that seemed to substantiate the sellers claim that the miles were original. I kept the records and can try to find them if the new buyer is interested. but no guarranties. Everything on the car work including the radio that understandably Crankles. Just had the car gone through by a local repair shop that specializes in classic cars. I did not like the fact that the car dripped "Oil" on the garage floor. The following work was doneReplaced brake master cylinder. rear brake cylinders. inspected. bleed adjusted. Replace clutch master cylinder. adjusted. bleed. tested clutchReplaced drain pan. transmission pan. fuel pump gasketsReplaced rear pinion seal. transmission output sealReplace distributor cap. wires. plugsOil. fluids. etc replacedAll parts were new OEM unless unavailable Total repair cost was $1000 in OEM parts and $1500 in labor and misc. The car has always run well and still does after the repairs without leaking a drop! The body is in great shape. Only rust I can find is minor surface rust rear wheel well within the trunk. And a few areas where the paint had been scratched The interior is completely original including a repairable split in the dashboard and a few minor splits in the seats. The car does have a relatively new top and I also have an ugly hard top that I do not use is storage. I have original manuals and an assortment of spare partsI am selling the car so that I can buy an Benz SL that my wife will drive and my German Shepard fits into. ( When he rides in the Datsun everyone laughs and takes pictures).
