1975 280z with 1983 f54 and 5 speed transmission. This was the first year for fuel injection but this car has been retro fitted with SU carbs with SM needles.
The previous owner was a paint and body guy that as you can see did some work on the car and paint job never completed. His story to explain the red paint from the door jam etc, s after he painted that part of the car he decided he did not want to continue with that color and aborted the rest of the paint job. All of the primer spots and body work was done by him and since he is a professional, can only think everything was done properly. I have not done anything to the exterior of the car, t remains in the same condition as I purchased it.
I put the motor and transmission in the car and did the modifications to convert the car to carbs. It has the 81-83 60 amp alternator (built in regulator) swap, he 79-80 distributor with the (E12-80) electronic ignition module modification. It has low pressure electric fuel pump with holley fuel pressure regulator. New clutch, lutch slave and boot. New plugs/wires and distributor cap. New thermostat and aftermarket temp gauge installed (original gauge doesn't work). Brakes repaired. New front windshield and back hatch window seals.
The car only needs carpet and paint to be a nice running driver. It has potential to be a lot more with minimal expense. I have owned many of these cars through the years and it has by far the most solid body that I've owned. The pictures show the damage that has been cut out from the floor rail, hich in my opinion is minor compared to many I've seen. The biggest thing I would say about this car (which my daughter calls "the spotted car") is to not judge this one by it's cover!
Does need battery... I used the battery from my boat to start the car when needed. So "battery not included"
