This is a fully functional, perfectly restoreable vehicle for a Z-car enthusiast, or simply reliable and simple transportation. The engine runs great and does not smoke or burn oil, and in the six years since I have owned it all I had to do was replace the distributor, the brake pads and the clutch master and slave cylinder. This vehicle has driven me to work and back for six years, and has only been driven a little over 3k miles per year and been given regular service since I have owned it. There is very little body damage (there is a light denting around the driver side rear quarter panel light). There is very little rust beginning to present itself on the doors, but a decent body buff and coat and new paint job would take care of that. The interior is sun damaged, as is typical for a vehicle this age, but a restoration enthusiast can find replacements for anything you need as there are three national parts dealers that deal exclusively in Z-Cars. I have a PDF of the full factory service manual that I can offer as well as the Haynes Manual. I am asking $1,000 firm as this this is a valuable car when given even a little beautification, i.e. according to Haggerty, restored 280ZX's run anywhere from $12k to $45K.
