Description

1954 Dodge C1-C8 (vin tag attached under the hood). this truck was bought in Wright. WY in the mid 1980's by my grandfather. My grandfather had it painted by Interstate Auto Body in Butte in the early 1990's. The truck was driven as a daily driver up until 2004. The truck was then passed on to me in 2004. The truck has sat in a garage for the past 11 years. with a 3-4 days trips a year. In 2013 the truck was again painted and custom work was completed. This work included the a roll pan bumper on the rear of the truck with a molded license plate box worked into the pan. Looks slick. The front of the truck was also worked on. taking the front bumper off. and again roll panning the front as if no bumper ever existed. wonderful work. 7FT. 7IN BED. original wood and rails. I have priced out a pre-cut bed and rails and it is about $600. The tailgate proudly displays DODGE! This stands out and people always ask "is that really a Dodge?" They are so used to seeing the Ford or Chevrolets running around. V8 engine. 241 Power dome edition (signature two bolts on valve covers). rebuilt in 1990. limited miles on it (less than 10. 00). The engine runs strong. no knocking. It is fed by the original one barrel crab. it seems like it could use more fuel. The air filter is an oil pan style. The truck runs and moves. The carburetor needs adjustment to prevent some coughing and spitting. The transmission shifts smoothly. nbsp;typically starting out in 2nd gear and working your way to fourth. 1st gear is truly "grannie" gear. The truck is low geared. so speed has not been its suit. However with a different drive train. the engine would race! New paint in 2013. painted by Kippen Designs of Butte MT. The truck was done in bright red. with the top of the cab painted black. Great two tone combination. The glass in the four out of five windows is complete and in good shape. driver's window is cracked and needs a new flat piece. This glass is not a hard to find or difficult to cut piece. any window shop could replace it. Like new tires with American Racing Rims. Flo Master duel Exhaust. the truck sounds mean. The interior was restored in the 1990's by Espinoza custom's of Butte. The interior is in good shape. nbsp;but has been touched by the sun. A headliner is also installed to match the plush interior of the truck The interior gauges work as well as the interior lights and dome light. The trucks heater is something special. The size of the cab and the power of the heater make a very cozy cab! The interior rubber on the windows is also in good shape. The dash is clean with a spring loaded glove box (one of favorite parts of the truck for some reason). I guess that and the "air conditioning fin" located right in front of the windshield. With just a flip of the lever. it pops up and inside of the cab you can have cool air at 55mhp! Oh and if it rains. you just reach up to the chrome knob located on the center/top of the dash give it a turn and your wipers will go to work. They are in good working condition. The truck is run off a 6 volt system with a new battery (well 2013). ignition/key turns and it starts well. The battery is located under the carpet in the cab of the truck (driver's side)The grill was chromed in 2004. and gives the truck a great smile. The V (8) is proudly displayed on the hood. The levers to the hood work well and hold the hood tight. The hood is a butterfly hood. opening on each side (very cool). The firewall is clean with lots of room to work. NO RUST. the truck is in great shape. Some have asked why am I selling it? I have a family of four total and we cannot all ride at once. I would like the space in his garage. It's time to move on. Pleae let me know of any questions you have!
