What we have here is the 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4 X 4 with extended cab and the very powerful V-10 engine. This truck has the SLT Laramie package. If you are looking for a reasonably priced truck that will pull a city off the map this is the one. The truck is used of course but pick-up wise this truck has about all the options you would need. Power Windows. Power Locks. Cruise. Automatic. Power Seat. Lumbar Seat. Air. CD Player (new). 4 X 4. Receiver Hitch & Plug . Bedliner. Trailer Brake . Basically the comforts of a car in a truck !! As you can see in the pics the truck shows wear and rust but overall runs excellent which really is the most important part. Looks to never had a fifth wheel in it which is a sign of no major towing. The transmission shifts great. The 4 X 4 works excellent. The engine runs like a monster and uses no oil I can see. The V-10 is simply a powerhouse. Rated at 310 HP with 450 lbs. of torque will complete any task thrown at it. The one problem I have found with the truck is the ABS however. These trucks today have sensors to sense sensors. I personally feel the automakers have ruined the trucks and cars of today. About two weeks ago when driving I noticed a shimmy when applying the brakes hard. I researched this and found it was a ABS sensor. I am not sure which it is but appears to be a fairly inexpensive fix but I have purchased another truck to haul a (3) car trailer and so this is the only reason I am selling this one. After researching this well-known problem I found if you unplug the ABS the shimmy stops and the brakes work like they are supposed to but unfortunately the speedometer does not operate. I disconnected about two weeks ago and so I am adding about 250 miles to the mileage because I only drive about maybe (125) miles a week and I am being generous with that figure. This truck is officially owned by my mother but I am the one who used it and maintained it but am selling for my mother because she is unable to do so. Oil changed regularly and also anything else it needed. I have owned many trucks in my life and have actually owned (2) V-10's and I must say the power is unbelievable. The first one I owned I used it to pull a Bobcat and trailer with absolutely no problem at all. Other than the brake ABS issue and maybe the air needing a recharge I cannot think of anything but the truck needs but tires soon. I do have a set that is next to new LT265/75R16 tires that I will sell for an additional $350 if the reserve is met and you want them. See pics. Nice meaty tires in a great size with nice tread for much less you would pay normally. Very few miles as you can see!! Like I said if you need a truck to work this is it. If you are looking for rust-free and show truck please buy that truck but plan on spending a lot. lot more !! It is stout and will handle any job thrown at it. The critical components such as the engine and transmission are excellent and strong as ever. I would drive this truck across the country if the tires were replaced. I have included a Kelly Blue Book image of the private party price of this truck but our reserve is "much" lower. I did not exaggerate when putting in the options and rating the condition so that price is what it is actually worth. The reserve is extremely fair considering the value with the option of the V-10. When you price a truck only the diesel and V-10 add onto the value of the book price because the V-10 was a expensive option when new. You can see the wear and rust but if you need a "real" truck to do "real" work this is it. We have this for sale locally so please bid accordingly but we do reserve the right to end the auction early. The CD player is new and from what I am gathering there is a remote start but I assume it needed programmed but do have the remote. Please ask any questions before bidding because afterwards is too late. You can look and drive if local. Great Powerful Work Truck ready to do work !! Thanks for looking.
