Description

This Supercharged Dodge Challenger SRT is literally LIKE NEW. with just over 400 miles on it. and is an affordable alternative to the Hellcat. You are looking at a one of a kind. 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8. owned by a serious collector who is downsizing the fleet as part of my "retirement plan". I bought the car new from Blaine Dodge and ordered the car specifying "NO dealer prep". Why? I wanted to get the car in the original factory condition. including all of the protective stickers. seat and floor covers. etc. The plan was to order a car that will be worth big money in 20 years. because at that time it will be the only Dodge Challenger SRT-8 that includes ALL factory pieces and parts. You can still see the suction cup marks on the windshield from the factory assembly process. You can still read the grease pencil markings on the wheels that were used in the assembly process (see pic of front wheel). Because I ordered the car with no dealer prep. it was not washed by the dealership. I took possession of the car as they unloaded it from the delivery car carrier. I drove the car home. carefully removed the seat/floor protection. but left the protective covers. stickers. and badges elsewhere in the interior. I packed up and documented all of the factory-applied protection. badging. and dealer instruction sheets. You can see some of these in the pics. I carefully removed and saved the window sticker and other documentation that was affixed to the car. I labelled where these items were located as well. Even the factory assembly markings are intact. While the 425 hp SRT-8 engine has plenty of power from the factory. I wanted more. I ordered a Kenne Bell Twin Screw Supercharger for the 6. 1 liter engine and a few weeks later I completed the installation and testing. I'm very meticulous and worked slowly to ensure a perfect installation. In my opinion Kenne Bell makes the best twin screw supercharger. and I researched all of the manufacturers before making my choice. If you review the Kenne Bell website you will see how hard they drove their test Challenger. taking it coast-to-coast to ensure reliability of their superchargers. This car has never been raced or abused. I bought the car as a collector. so I haven't driven it on the street other than to/from local car shows (and to get it home from dealership). The car is VERY fast. even with the stock exhaust (the supercharger was designed for the stock Dodge Challenger exhaust. and according to Kenne Bell. it's a very low restriction exhaust so they recommend using it with their supercharger). The supercharger is a liquid cooled Mammoth 2. 8LC model. Kenne Bell's testing on the dyno resulted with a 173- 200 horsepower gain at the rear wheel. with minimal boost using pump gas. Horsepower at the engine is significantly more than a 200 hp increase (visit the Kenne Bell website to see the test results on the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 6. 1 liter. with the 2. 8LC Supercharger kit). This is approx 625 horsepower at the engine with the "street pulley". running pump gas. but if you want more power this auction also includes the smaller pulley (and installation tool) that spins the supercharger faster. producing even MORE horsepower. (NOTE- Using the smaller pulley requires running higher octane fuel not available at the pump). After installing the supercharger and carefully rechecking all connections. I took the car out for a test drive. The factory rear tires would lose traction even at 20 miles per hour! Kenne Bell achieves full boost at only 2000 rpm. so you are at peak boost as you leave the stop sign. Because traction was so terrible with all that new power. I ordered some sticky. DOT approved street tires for the rear. I also ordered a 2nd set of wheels that match the factory wheels. The car comes with 2 sets of rear tires. all 4 mounted and balanced on matching wheels. Both the factory tires/wheels and the sticky Nitto tires/wheels are included in this auction. The pics of the car are with the Nitto sticky tires on it. While the tires were a very expensive investment. they work very well and look like the factory wheels/tires. If you are a street cruiser (or like me. a street punk) and you want a car that looks and sounds stock. but will launch with unbelievable power and traction. this mopar is the ticket! I've driven the car to a few local shows but have never used it for transportation. hence the very low miles. There are extras that are included in this auction: 1. a smaller pulley for the Kenne Belle supercharger. and installation tool. I've never installed this pulley which increases the boost to a point where you need to run racing fuel in the car. After driving the car with the pump gas pulley you will probably come to the same conclusion that I did. "why would I ever want MORE power than this?" 2. the factory rear wheels and tires with very few miles on them. I would estimate less than 100 miles were on them when I replaced them with the DOT approved Nitto tires. 3. All the factory-applied protective "stuff". that the dealerships remove and toss. I have it all. and most is still on the car. 4. Kenne Bell instruction and owners manual 5. ALL of the original factory parts that can be easily reinstalled if you want to return the car to original condition. I carefully labeled the parts and bolts so you will know where everything goes. 6. The Kenne Bell ECM programmer. The car's computer was tuned for the supercharger. using the KenneBell provided hand-held tuner. This device also stores the factory tune. so if you want to restore the car to factory specs you merely plug in the tuner and restore. It also saves the high-performance tune. so you can go back to it in the future (if you change your mind AGAIN). ha ha7. Factory Owners manual8. 2nd keyless entry FOB's9. Window sticker and dealer order forms/receipts/booklets10. Husky interior floor liners (front and rear) 11. Splash guards (clip on style- no holes drilled) The car has the SRT-8 package. and includes these add'l features: Customer Preferred Package 22xSRT Option Group IIAM/FM Stereo w/ in dash 6 disk cd/dvd/mp3 Kicker srt high perf speakers200 watt kicker srt subwoofer322 watt kicker srt ampInstrument cluster w/ white face. with tachometer245/45ZR20 255/45zr20 3 season goodyear tiresNote- This car hasn't been licensed for the street since 2010. so it will need to be registered. I can hold and and store the car for the buyer for up to 3 months (no additional charge). Note- I do not respond to emails with offers to end the auction early. Please don't ask me this question. If the vehicle doesn't sell. then feel free to contact me. Thanks for understanding. If you are a bargain hunter like me. and want the experience of a Hellcat. but for half the cost. this is your ticket!!
